I tell you what, it you're so convinced this season is going to be shit, would you be willing to put your money where your mouth is?
If we finish outside the top four I'll donate £200 to the forum, if we finish inside it you do.
If for any reason you don't bet money wise, loser forefits posting rights for the following season.
    Deal?

Aside from Kepa, Chalobah deserves a lot of praise. Has really come out of nowhere in terms of consideration and put in a MOTM performance.

    This 100%.
Sure he'll sign a 5-6 year contract so (assuming there's no release clause) he should spend at least 3-4 years at his next club but that's when it gets really tricky. Either Haaland & Raiola will start engineering a move elsewhere at that point and there's not all that much the club can do about it given only 1-2 years left on the contract, or if the club have been super successful and won lots of trophies they might be willing to negotiate a contract extension. But what happens when you try to extend a Raiola player who's already on massive wages (£400K/wk minimum) and the player's shown he's got what it takes to succeed at the very highest level? They'll demand even more money. Raiola has already said publicly they're planning for Haaland to become a £1M/wk player at some point in his career so keeping him for +10 years is completely out of the question wherever he goes.

The idea that Haaland would have been long term is extremely naive.
Raiola would have his next move mapped out before he even signed.

On one hand we have Pep Guardiola, a man who lives and breathes football 24/7/365 and has won everything there is to win in the game both as a player and a manager multiple times over.
On the other hand we have 'whats happening', a fan who writes poorly worded one-liner messages on an internet forum.

I don't know, when it comes to football knowledge it's a really tough choice.

There's a cabal of goalkeepers pulling the strings behind all European club transfer activities and our own Petr Cech is conspiring with Reina on this. The society of gloved hands.

So why didn’t Sevilla concede five goals every game in past years? Or did Koundè got eaten alive weakly base?

How we won CL with Azpi playing CB under 1.8 M?

This is not weightlifting, this is football.. Height and weight can be compensated with other skills.

Unless someone has a bloody proof that is the case, I really can't fathom why people are choosing to stick with a conspiracy theory. Is it because Ziyech is an easy target due to his situation at the club?
Just because we just won the Champions League, it doesn't give us a god's given right to expect players should be choosing us over other clubs, regardless of whether it's PSG or not.
If the reports are true - in that the club only tried to offer cash + player and didn't push hard for the deal compared to PSG - then is it any wonder why Hakimi chose them over us? Only one club have made him feel wanted and that club ain't us. It never looked like we got into an advanced negotiation stage with Inter because of our offer. It didn't seem like we were willing to pay up straight cash but wanted to low ball by paying smaller amount of money and offering a deadwood to them. Also, Hakimi's decision could be linked to his wife, who apparently is an actress and often goes to Paris and stays there for an extended period of time. Joining PSG would allow them to be together more often etc.

What is really exciting is we genuinely have a chance to add more in the next few years with the overall state of the European teams.
On paper our three biggest obstacles are Bayern, City and Paris and two of them keep freezing in the competition.
Massive massive chance to get a few in the cabinet and really establish ourselves as the elite.

Youll notice some of them aren’t here when we win the CL which sums them up. Probably away watching the FA cup final loss again so they can complain about something

Guardiola started with so many attackers and City ended up produced an xG of only 0.4.
Defensive masterclass from us (the approach in the 2nd half was risky), one that rivals the old team of ours.

I have no opinion on Super League, but laughing so hard on Uefa/Fifa crybabies stomping their feet because the stream of dirty money is threatened. How can they throw away teams from CL right now? On basis of what? Twitter statement? What is it, Orwell? Thoughtcrime? Nothing has happened yet and it all looks like childish and desperate money conflict.
Even if they'd try to ban anything or anyone right now, potential lawsuits would sink FIFA/UEFA far quicker, than SL would.
I wouldn't even be surprised if teams in question in CL would sue for damaging their reputation and potentially revenue with those BS threats.

Ridiculous. Your sports are every bit as plastered with adverts as ours are. The “sports play a bigger role in society” but is just laughable.

Who cares about current position. There's 6 points between 1st and 15th. Way too early to make any judgements based on table. We're 4 points behind 1st which is the main thing that matters. Unpredictable results all year for all teams has made this wide open. Just gotta start to get a run going now hopefully we are a lot more defensively solid

This is an odd way of thinking. Why not just appraise what you want of CHO independently of big club rumours. This same principle could apply to that Inter Milan were linked with Emerson, Barce and Madrid a few seasons ago linked with Alonso. It hardly changes my opinion of the player.

Regardless, players like Renato Sanches, Arp, Odriozola and Cuisance just in the last few years discount the already illogical myth that Bayern ‘never get it wrong’ with young talent. Or that a young talent can go to Bayern and somehow is therefore destined to be world class. They’ve just spent £80m on Luis Hernandez for him to be a back-up (at best) LB, third choice (at best) CB. They’re a well run club, but not some infallible work of nature. If they’re offering £70m for CHO I think we are the winners in that. If we offered £70m for a 19 year old winger who just has not shown any consistent top-level quality in his senior career I would be against the move 🤷🏿‍♂️

Edit: I guess the £70m fee makes good headlines but thinking about the nuance of the deal it is actually smart move if Bayern for it (and not great for us). As others have implied, if he actually performs then they get a good player for £70m. If he doesn’t no issue, he just comes back to us. So it is just a low risk gamble. So to maybe change the final analogy in the above comment I wouldn’t mind if we got some random young talent on a loan to buy offer for £70m. As it is low risk. But I still don’t agree with the train of thought that because Bayern are interested, that means CHO is good. I’ll think he’s good when he starts showing consistent high level performances for us!

Despite the result, I really enjoyed his movement and action on the field today. By far the best PL game from him in a Chelsea shirt, and it is obvious that the 10-position suits him the best.
