Yeah we don't need him just like we didn't need Salah or Schurrle and Willian at the same time. If we go by need we probably would have promoted Josh to the team and not sign Fabregas or use Bamford as ST instead of Costa. WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE NEED. It depends how good is the player and the fee involved, I mean selling Salah for Reus is a no brainier, improve the squad straight away. Also we didn't need to sell Ba and Eto'o but still do anyway for better options(Remy and Costa). If you go by 'need' argument we will never sign top top players again, we didn't have to sign Hazard, still had Kalou and Bertrand who could play LW But it is alright, Salah will make it big here I suppose. Seriously, Reus for 30m and 100k or about so is a fricking bargain, top 10 wingers in the world for a reasonable fee and we pass on because we 'don't need' him? hahahahha. This is not Sanchez or Di Maria(overpriced or not good enough to pursue, this is a winger who is top 5 in the world at 1 point and with top work rate/pressing skill.
-
Free next summer if he doesn't renew his contract folks, ready for a bargain if we are interested.
-
Well tbf this summer has been that. If you search career mode as Bayern you will probably buy Benatia. If you were us you would probably get Costa or Fab, MU LOOOOOL, Real LOOOOOOOOOOL, Atletico LOOOOOOL, Barcelona-same apart from the CB
-
PSG is probably a yes, their fund are available again and it is not even limited to 50m anymore. MU they might if Falcao/RVP decides to leave. Arsenal yeah they are shit at dealing, Liverpool cannot compete with us on wages. Either way I see his options very limited, a move to anywhere else in Germany is a no go unless it is Bayern. So his choices are: MU(unlikely unless someone leaves) City-could actually be possible but hope not, their CAM are also good enough Arsenal-LOL who won't even pay 6m for Falcao loan Liverpool-Can't compete on wages Bayern-most likely, but depends on Ribery PSG-probably will, hopefully not Barca-banned on transfer till 2016 Real Madrid-think Perez will learn his lesson this summer Atletico-can't compete That or unless he moves to Zenit or some middle east side, which I would find very unlikely. With PSG, Bayern, City, MU and us to battle it out eventually imo.
-
Did it ever actually work that well for Holland though? yes it destroys Spain but it was hugely thanks to the effort of a hungry Robben with a point to prove after that miss in the final 2010, also a fuck up by Casillas and a fluke/wonder goal that will never happen again from RVP that actually started their comeback. Since then it has been anything but excellent, barely won against crap Australia, winning a game that Chile cba to compete 100%, luckily beating Mexico who dominated majority of the match, drew 0-0 against Costa Rica and Argentina, creating next to zero clear cut chance in that Costa Rica match. Before that they played 433 and Strootman injury forced him to change it to 352. Now with their current set up lets say Shaw as LWB and Rafael as RWB, they might improve defensively but attacking wise, are they that much better?
-
For us, just sell Salah and bring Reus in, perfect replacement. In fact it will reduce Schurrle or Willian to 4th and 5th choice and that is amazing depth. So Reus, Varane if he wants to leave Real and Khedira on a free along with a top striker is good enough with the likes of Drogba retiring and Salah leaving.
-
Think Madrid have enough of attacking players now, if he comes in that means one of Ronaldo/Bale/James/Benzema will have to leave and I doubt it. Think they will have an utter failure of a season due to their president being an idiot and destroying the team. Next summer expect them to sign Vidal or Pogba as their star signing. Not to mention they still have the likes of Isco...etc on the book Barca is banned until 2016, think Reus will want to leave next summer when that clause kicks in if Dortmund don't win the league/CL this season. Bayern is a possibility but bar a serious injury/loss of permanent form for Ribery they won't do it.
-
He played a lot last season there actually and Mikel/Dave if really needed and even Oscar in really bad emergency situation. Willian can play as CAM, probably better than Oscar there. I know I never said anything about our wingers, just that Salah isn't gonna be playing enough for his age.
-
Where it was particularly meaningless to us as Jose knew the title was gone by then and was aiming for CL. Also 6 matches since Feb is pretty bad for a young winger, he should really be playing in week in week out, if he stays maybe he will play 10 games but majority of them will be from the bench or COC games.
-
The thing is if Schurrle plays bad there is Willian, if Willian there is Oscar, if Oscar there is Ramires...etc. Bar a miracle and big set back for us(Willian AND Schurrle out injured or something) he won't get his chance. Also lets say he plays, but who to say he will do well enough in those games to be in the team for the upcoming matches? and at this age without a long run in the team=confidence shot down, ability reduced and value decreases.
-
Not hard to be in a Juve team that is top 15 in Europe in a horrible declining league mate. Also helps when you have the likes of Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Bonucci, Chiellini...etc in front of you against Immobile as the league's best striker.
-
Last time Costa played on the wing was when Falcao was still there. Ramires will likely play on the wing instead of Salah/Oscar if we were playing Man City.
-
Another player who will never make it here, being used by us to farm and make money.
-
Remember will become one of the best striker in the world according to many people here Lets hope he hits the 20 goals barrier 1st before aiming too high
-
Yep he would have prevented the Gerrard slip and a couple on top of their 3-3 draw naaa in all seriousness huge waste of money imo, hope we learn from this. Only bad point so far on our great transfer policy, same policy that probably costs us Di Maria as we went for Willian when if we waited and bid 40m Madrid would have let Di Maria gone before Ozil last summer.
-
And therefore aka becoming a waste of money. I mean not a single decisive goal for us and little to no impact at all. Probably at a loss too, sometime I think we make these signings just to piss off the rivals.
-
Alcantara? Naaa never even close, it was MU vs Bayern
-
Anyone think he will even comeback here anymore? Unless he becomes top 10 CDM in Serie A next season he won't be good enough. We can easily go out and sign people like Khedira for free next summer or Caravalho for 20m. Point is he is now just someone we are farming then to sell for profit.
-
I think this whole idea was used because cases like at Monaco are happening, playboys buy the clubs then after a couple of years bin it because they are bored. However actually it really isn't helping the smaller clubs like many have said. In a way I actually like this new rule especially now with our club finding a way around it with the loan system. With or without FFP, Barca, Real, PSG...etc would still have spent around 50-100m anyway, now it limits them down a bit. Real Madrid actually has to sell now instead of keeping players in the squad(Di Maria, Alonso, passing on Falcao). If they had it their way they would still spend 100m without needing to recoup anything, now they had to.
-
I agree however it is no excuse we could use to put them down, I mean Fabregas wanted Arsenal return apparently before signing for us. Hazard only chose us because we offered more than MU and City and countless other cases. I agree it is annoying for them to sign a good striker but we should stop trying to dig ridiculous excuses to make us look like hypocrites. MU only realized this summer you have to sign the top players for huge fees if you wanna get back up top, they had to overpay because of CL football missing.
-
Mean while if we spend the same amount of money on Cavani I am sure no one would complain(£150k per week not £300k+ for Cavani though) but the fee is nothing unreasonable.
-
In name only, reality is we are wasting 100k+ per week on a player who will likely plays no part until his departure next Jan/summer Mark is a fine back up imo.
-
Buffon is at least 2 seasons past it now imo, Juve aren't tested enough in their league. Give him in the BPL now I doubt he will be keeping many clean sheets. He is just the same state as Casillas, albeit without the fuck ups at the WC and CL Final to hurt his reputation. Also De Gea was the best GK in BPL in 12-13, I am sure he is more than 'good' especially when you are comparing him to Mandanda
-
^^^^^^^^LOL people debating if Falcao is not better than Costa? I mean fcuking hell he was in Team of the Year a coupke of years ago, wake the fuck up. Like many have said though, it is not about the name but rather the suitability to the system and Costa is perfect for us atm.
-
That wages picture is wrong as Messi recently negotiated a 20m deal after taxes, same with Ronaldo. Falcao on 10-12m max, same with Rooney and RVP.
