Ah something worth posting about.... Looking forward to the game later, i remember 2 years ago we beat them 2-0 but i have a bad feeling about it this year if i'm honest. A few of ours have pulled out which i can't believe to be honest, it sickens me that some players use the "i'm tired" bullshit and would turn down the opportunity to play for their country in an international tournament. Spain have a very strong squad, no pulling out from them as far as i hear so we could get the run around later on. Just hope we play well, show commitment and at least give them a game. Those drop outs should be ashamed of themselves and should never play for the U21's again imo. I watched the Iceland - Belarus game yesterday and it was crazy in truth. Iceland completely dominated the 2nd half after an awful first half finished 0-0 but they just couldn't score. Then Belarus caught them out, won a pen, scored and then sealed it late on 2-0. Iceland played some really good football but were so unlucky. Felt sorry for them.

Because they are from the same part of the world...... Honda is class, nothing like park. Park is a good player dont get me wrong but Honda is much better technically and is more attacking, i've actually seen this guy play and took notice unlike 90% of ppl posting about him who are either guessing or just have no idea who he id. He's an excellent footballer and is good enough to play for chelsea.

I'd love to see Honda at Chelsea, he was absolutely exceptional in the world cup. He is like their new Nakata but better imo and is genuine quality. I'd have him no doubt. Wont happen tho if we aint actually linked with him but if he opens his mouth a bit more, he might attract us

Wow the mikel debate still goes on. He's strong, talented and could be world class with the games and he does get out of tight situations well often too but at the moment he gives the ball away in very stupid places and is occasionally caught sleeping. It's the basic simple things that let him down too often like he takes them for granted or takes it too easy/relaxed. That's how i see him, like my opinion or not, that's exactly how i see Jon Obi Mikel. He will improve, he will cut these things out of his game eventually but at this current time, as i write this on Friday 10th June 2011, he has those flaws in his game. Think it was Sunderland at home where he had an absolute nightmare. When he cuts these silly errors out, not all errors because no one is perfect but the stupid ones, he'll be a great player from a good player. At the moment, he's a good talented player who has lots to learn. END! Now Sneijder, back on topic..... He's not coming. Close it.

Stats can make anyone look good, it's almost like a youtube video making someone look amazing. Its easy to make 90% of passes backwards and sideways but if he makes 3 awful lazy passes out of 20, even that's over 80% success and ppl would remember those 3 passes instead of a shit pass back to the goal keeper. I wont judge on what the stats say, i'll judge on what i watch and so far except his good start to last season, he's done nothing to tell me he's a brilliant world class player. He needs a whole season probably with Essien out the way to prove to me that he's worthy of the starting line up.

Sneijder obviously likes it in Milan so if he wants to stay, he can stay. You would think he'd want the premiership Challenge though wouldn't ya after achieving everything with Inter. 1 last challenge? but if he's happy, he's happy. And also the deal says Essien and Malouda so there's no point discussing Mikel or Anelka or someone else because that's not even an issue. I'm not a Mikel fan i admit, he's always half asleep to me and to name him world class is crazy as he's not actually done anything yet and didn't play lots of the last few seasons. He's strong and can distribute well but he also makes rash stupid challenges, picks up numerous cards and always gives the ball away needlessly. I could name 100 lower league players who can do what Mikel does. The player who is generally world class is Lassana Diarra but he slipped through the net because of his arrogance and attitude. Pity though because he is perfect for us and we wouldn't be discussing this disjointed midfield so much if we'd played him and if he was a bit more patient. Even Arsene got rid of him which says a lot, he likes his young French boys. Hear a rumour and talk about that rumour, don't just make stuff up because it's pointless. There's already lots of annoying stuff in these threads as it is.

Essien's been crap all season, even when he was fit. His injuries have been in the back of his mind and he's not as strong as he was and his presence isn't the same. He is not the same. End of story.

If i could chose any midfield player i would chose Sneijder so i don't really care who we offer. Maybe offer Lampard and Drogba i'd still probably take it. They like ageing players in Italy. We need a Sneijder desperately.

I'd accept that i must say. Essien aint the same as he was between 05 & 08 and Malouda has never been consistent. I'd say that's a good deal to be honest and i'd take it.

He'll play on for now and he'll never play for England again after Euro 2012. Maybe he should finish before then tho tbh. He's so slow, has no reactions and seems to just get through games as they pass him by. He's on his last legs.

If we don't buy him, it's a huge opportunity lost considering his ability and the price tag. But this is Chelsea afterall...

I want the best players playing for Chelsea first and foremost. Carol, Wickham and Henderson are good players but they aint gonna win them the league. I personally think Henderson is very much overrated anyway and 21m? ok have fun with that, i know Sunderland will. Wasn't long ago we had almost half the England team. JT, Lamps, Parker, Johnson, Bridge and Joe Cole in the squad at the same time then Ashley Cole joined us so even when Parker and Johnson left, we had another one. And all our players get booed anyway. Chelsea comes first always for me although i want to see England do well in World Cups and Euro's, the last 2 were a disgrace. Didn't even qualify for Euro 2008 and i kinda wish we never qualified for that awful WC. If i could get a couple of English players, i'd get Ashley Young and Jack Rodwell but i don't want us just getting English players for the sake of it. Look at Arsenal.... They don't give a shit. They've only had Walcott and Wilshere represent England in the last god knows how long and Walcott is NEVER England quality. If a player is good enough, he'll make it to the National team regardless who he plays for as long as the standard is high. HE may need to drop down but if he's genuinely good, he'll come back up somewhere. And for a team like Chelsea to get Lukaku or Neymar, this will help Belgium and Brazil too so it's still good for football. Giving any youngster a chance in a European giant league is good for football, English, or anyone.

It's completely irrational to sack someone who won the double, then came 2nd. End of story.

I really hope Yuri stays because i think he's a very good player and deserves a run in the team. He wasn't exceptional when he played last season but you can't expect him to be after not playing too much and getting no real stay in the line up. We're a club that plays with wingers and he's probably the only natural one we have and we don't use him.... makes no sense to me. He said he wasn't injured, he wasn't injured, Carlo just didn't trust him. He'll probably move on but i hope he has one final crack at it because he has the ability.
