  1. Its so hard to determine of JT is passed it because i thought he had a fantastic couple of seasons just gone and he never had pace, i still think he's good but so much has happened, it's maybe a psychological thing, he must have everything going through his mind. The penalty, the affair, the stripping of England captaincy, the racism.... i mean ffs, some ppl would commit suicide lol. And even Lamps, he got abused and dropped then suddenly we saw glimpses of the old lamps again. Oh and also.... Drogba. He got the Golden boot with 29 goals in 2010 then he got malaria and a couple of injuries and we bought Torres so since his goalscoring form of 09-10, he's not had a chance to carry on, he's not had an extended run in the team at all. He is still good enough and better than Torres imo.
  2. I watched the game in Brighton with quite a few family members, really nervous, especially when they went 1-0 up. It will always be a game to remember, even Stevie G got sent of after a dirt challenge on Le saux. Shame Le Saux & Zola left us and didn't play in the UCL in the 03/04 season. It's unbelievable tho, the luck we've had in the UCL since Gronkjaer's goal against Liverpool so start the journey. It's been the most emotional 7 years you could ever imagine and no other team will ever go through such bad fortune. Supporting Chelsea was so different before Roman, even if we lost, it wasn't really a problem. We often lost away to Coventry for example, but that was life. We lost 10-15 games a season but when we won, it was cherished, we enjoyed it, it felt good to beat Southampton 1-0 at home on a rainy, cold, muddy evening. Nowadays there's so much pressure, you lose 3-4-5 and it's all doom n gloom. Look at things now. Now as 22/11/2011, only in November and we're already out the title race. Money has ruined the fun of football. We benefited from it and it was great, but Man City are taking it to the extreme. Within the next 10 years, they would've won everything possible. I'd love to have football's 1994-2000 era back because i enjoyed it more than i enjoy todays stuff.
  3. We always get behind the team, but the performances against Arsenal, Genk and Liverpool leaves a lot to be desired. You'd think we were one of the other west london mobs, for our stature in football now, we deserve a hell of a lot better that this shit.
  4. What's the point in optimism? I was optimistic on Sunday, i was optimistic against Genk away, i was optimistic against QPR, i just can't be bothered anymore, this team is just a complete failure and if we win, great, if we don't, fuck it. It's not like we can win the tournament. My optimism is at an all time low right now and yes, you can all moan and say you should stick by your team but how much do they really care and how many care? After QPR, although we lost, i was happy because the players gave everything, since then, they've just let us down, we deserve better. I'm still extremely bitter and still in a very bad mood since the Arsenal game, the Liverpool game just put in a final blow, like kicking a dead person. We might win, if we get a half decent team in the next round or 2, we're simply goners. We have no chance of anything good this season. THAT is how optimistic i am. The last few performances have been an insult to us so atm i feel a bit fucked off and couldn't care a shit what happens to them.
  5. Transition, transition, transition. I'm fed up with the excuse of transition. When have we once decided to ditch transfers for a few years and asccerpt finishing 4th, 5th? We aint. We're still trying to build a squad to win things and we're still trying to buy the best players if we can. Man Utd went through transition, yet still won things. Arsenal are the only big side i've seen go through transition buy spending no money and buying nobody whilst their stadium was being paid off. We have no reason to do anything like this, we have money and we have ambition, we should NOT be in this position, fighting only for domestic cup shit.
  6. "Transition" that word is pissing me off. Transition means changing, yes. It doesn't mean being shit for 3 years.
  7. We've just simply imploded. We can only realistically hope for 3rd or 4th now but it might be so much worse. It's worse than last season, a lot worse
  8. this'll be fun. Ain't even gonna bother watching it, gonna enjoy the rest of my holiday, Chelsea free and stress free.
  9. words cannot describe how shit this chelsea team is and how pissed off i am atm. Fuck the transition shit, there's no excuse for this, we still have aims to win stuff and buy top players. This is, as TX said, completely unforgivable. It's a fucking shambles.
  10. Glad to hear we're back in it, need to win it now, just .... NEED TO!
  11. So i take it we're losing. Well Mikel is one of those players who just stays at the club for one reason or another. I said enough times Romeu should play, but no.... I'll probably see the goal soon i suppose.
  12. Happy with the team, basically back to the successful team that won us the league and did them over twice, with the inclusion of Mata, it's stronger. I don't care what line up Liverpool put out, they aint great and we can get at those bastards. This is a true test of character, we have to win the game. No excuses
  13. Torres will save his goal against them for may when we go and win the league there, kinda like 2010 style.
  14. How can a 5 year old do this.... his dribbling ability is very, very good but he looks to be a right greedy little shit. Now he's a Man utd kid, lets hope he just goes n gets shit from now. Very Messi like tho... I can see myself coming back to this thread in 12 years lol.
  15. Cahill plays well with JT and he clearly has a lot of Respect and mutual like for him. I would love to see Cahill, another English defender along side JT because i don't think our defence is as solid as once was and a JT - Alex partnership is too slow against quick teams.
  16. In the UCL home leg in 2008, Anelka made a big impression and in 2010 he scored the opener in a 2-0 win. He seems to play pretty well against them and against Arsenal so he's not the worst 'big game' player we have. I think Anelka is perfectly adequate for this game. It's only against Man Utd where he seems to do less than nothing. I'm all for throwing Anelka AND Drogba in on Sunday. Let's face it, is Alelka a risk? Yes. Is Drogba a risk? yes. Is Torres a risk? Yes. Nodody is in good form imo and nobody warrants a place in this team. Mata, Lampard, Sturridge, Cech and JT are probably the only players that even warrant a place in the whole squad.
  17. I think hosts being in the first pot is stupid tho, especially when there's 2. We should be in pot 3.
  18. so just because poland and ukraine are hosting, they are suddenly the best in the world? lol how about this group: Spain, Germany, Portugal, France
  19. i feel sorry for bosnia and all their ppl, so close again, especially against france but another defeat to portugal. They must hate portugal as much as we do now. 6-2 must hurt big time. I really hope they qualify for a major tournament soon, they deserve it.
  20. I'm pretty sure Drogba is fine. Media only said he'd miss the Genk match, it never said he'd have a substantial period away. I like the Drogba over Torres idea but i'd rather Torres score on Sunday than Drogba.
  21. dunno why, but i've got a great feeling about this game. How dare those tire thieving cunts do the double over us while we were reigning champs, fuck that. They did the double over us in 2009 too then we did it to them in 2010. Time for sweet payback number 2. We have them again soon after too so lets do them twice in 10 days. So up for this one even tho i have to watch it at midnight. We need to get back to playing with style and winning 4-5 in short succession. We won't lose this game, i swear on it.
  22. Who doesn't play experimental teams in this shit competition anyway? I know they are desperate as they ain't been to wembley since '96 and have probably forgotten the way but moaning about needing to play an experimental team is stupid. In a season, you have to use your squad if u play 60+ games. There's not even any matches from like the 5th november til the 20th so what a load of shit.
  23. Do we even have a winger? we play 4-3-3 but we don't actually have anybody that calls themselves a winger. Sturride is a striker, Anelka a striker, Mata a creative central midfielder, Kalou a (Shit) striker and Malouda is more like a left midfielder than an attacking left winger. The only teams that can genuinly call themselves a 4-3-3 side are Bayern with Robben & Ribery and Barca with Messi and Sanchez/Pedro. We'll never be a threat to anyone with players always out of position. Mata and Sturridge can play there but they will naturally drift to where they favour playing by instinct. We need players to actually favour playing there and bloody well stay there. Also it would give that spanish tit more chance of scoring i suppose.
