Decent performance, especially in the 2nd half. Even Ivo is showing Torres how to run through n score. First half was a tad mediocre but we just upped the tempo and got the goals when that team were tired. Wanted Torres to score but maybe he'll bang a few in on Weds or against Vills/Blackburn.

Not sure if i'm pissed off or not. Seems a bit shit that they've come to cobham of all the places in England, let alone London/Surrey. At least i know what to smash up and where to go when they next give us a UCL screwing. Can actually attack Barca locally, that appeals..... I dunno, maybe we'll join em in some capacity, have a few matches and a few joint sessions and learn from the way they play. Trying to think positive because there's not much we can do about it. FC Barcelona is the best team in the world atm, play outstanding football and are certainly one of the top/biggest 3 clubs in popularity worldwide and It will attract a lot more interest in the area. We'll see what may happen in the future. I can see us scouting those talented kids learning 'The Barca way'. Most will probably be English too so win-win and it could also help England and English players on technique. The technical English player may be born soon This could be a good thing. We need British kids learning this type of football for the modern game.

Liverpool are making a huge mistake. A crap British team loses to a crap continental team. A good british team loses to a good continental team and so on. If you're gonna fill the team with British based players, you're going to get dominated in possession in nearly every match you play with a team filled with a mix of good players. It hurts me to say being English but technically we aint the best and we're not gonna dominate matches against good technical sides so you have to mix things up. Liverpool are spending a hell of a lot of money on shit and they will not win anything with this squad. Suarez is quality but who else really? They may win the odd domestic cup but if they qualify for the UCL, they are in for a hell of a shock with this squad. They might even get humiliated next season by a decent portuguese/dutch side. You have to mix it up to challenge to be the best. Carrol, Henderson, Downing, Adam.... They've spend about £80m on that team and it's mid table at best. Adam being the best and by far the cheapest. At least if we get Scotty he's a really good squad player that would suit us in many ways. Liverpool are just losing the plot. I fear for them but in a good way. Dalglish thinks he's still managing a team in the 80's. Times have changed you stupid (Bleep).

I'm really looking forward to the Rangers game pre season and the Asia Cup but in the league i'm looking at that Man Utd away game on September 18th. They beat us 3 times in the space of about 6 weeks last season and did it very easily too which was hard to take. I hope we go there and do them. I don't look forward to any other games except the prem because the prem is the most competitive league in the world. Best is a strong word because the spanish is better technically and the football is better but everyone knows who will win all the time so it's boring to me. Anyone can beat anyone in the prem. I'm looking forward to the Chelsea - Real Madrid UCL Final in munich too of course. Or maybe to get Real in another round at the bridge. Fuck Barca, we've had our moments against them. Chelsea vs Real Madrid would be one of the most hyped matches ever and we historically have a bloody good record against them too but haven't played them often. Each time we've played em, we've won a European trophy against them so the UCL is to complete the set . Can you just imagine a 2 legged Semi between Chelsea and Real Madrid? Man City's kits are pretty standard, they always have the red n black away kit and the rather plain looking home shirt. Both nice tho. Man Utd's kits aint too bad either, i don't think the blue is that bad.

£22m is a lot but he's got 10 years plus with us and has every chance of making £22m sound a bargain. He did a decent job in the 03/04 season when he played but he didn't get the chances because of Makelele. In the next campaign he got a bad injury against Norwich and we were doing so well that he was never gonna get back into the stating eleven and again because Makelele was the main man. We just went on that amazing run and won the league easily. He didn't leave because he was shit, he left because he wasn't regular under Jose and wanted first team football. Makelele was just so good for us. This situation is perfect for Scotty to come back as the DM. He was the PFA players player of the year last season and had a great personal season in a very bad club. He's got 2 or 3 years left, he's 100% passionate and his commitment cannot be bettered. In games away to the shite bottom 6 in the rain and wind or an FA Cup away 3rd round at Burnley or colchester or something, he's fucking perfect. English Steel in the middle is what we need. Judging him by his last spell is just bollocks and unfair because the situation was completely different. I'd love us to do a deal and get him back. If they want £8m, just fucking give it to em. It's hardly a huge sum of money and we really need to strengthen this squad.

Just because he's 30 doesn't mean he can't play football any more. He'll cover Essien for half a season and he was so much better than Essien last season anyway. He won pfa player's player of the year so he can't be that bad. I really hope to see him back, i might be the only one but we'll see I've always liked him.

Benayoun and Modric are identicle players, Modric is just younger. They have exactly the same style. We should play Yossi more next season and go for Modric again next summer. Good to see Nando score and good to see a nice positive comfortable start.

I think he's quality, 12m seems a good deal to me. He's quick, has a stunning FK and adds a bit more brazilian culture to the squad. I like.

Cant wait to see us get going but i fear we'll be playing pre season with last seasons squad....

There's no point buying an unproven 18 year old for £20m when u can use that £20m to add to the offer of a Sanchez/Modric/Neymar and wrap them up. I mean why offer £22m for Modric and £20m for Lukaku and £30m for neymar when you can use that £20m from the Lukaku bid to add £10m to the Modric and Neymar offers which would pretty much seal them. I think the only reason we aint got Lukaku yet is because we need to get rid of Drogba first. We don't need Drogba, Torres, Sturridge, Falcao (If he comes) and Lukaku.

He was never fully fit last season and he was injured a lot towards the back end of the season before prior to the world cup. He was clearly not fit in south africa too and then he got injured there, he hasn't been fully fit for over a year imo. Once he gets fully fit ,he'll bang the goals in. He had some impressive displays last season without scoring, he seemed to miss hit so many shots so it's fine lines. Coulda had 4 against Fulham and Copenhagen but just didn't get the breaks. He'll score many for us next season if he has a good pre season. I believe he will. He's 27, lots of time left.

So happy to see Robbie back, it's gonna be brilliant seeing him with the Chelsea badge on his chest again. Some heart, soul and blue blood back in chelsea, an absolutely perfect move. AVB knows exactly what he's doing and he knows exactly what the fans want and what Chelsea need. This is probably the most excited i've ever been before a pre season, seriously. Can't wait.
