Chelsea or Arsenal for 4th = Chelsea or Arsenal for Hazard imo. coming 5th may not mean we can't buy the top players but it sure makes it harder, goes without saying.
-
Kinda funny, Fabregas goes to the best team in the world who have won 3 La Liga's in a row (i think) and he still can't win the league.
-
There's only 1 reason to start Torres and that's the fact that he should be able to score against a Champinship defence and if we get a confident Torres for the last 10 games or so, we'll be better off for the run in. He might just click one day. I would start Lukaku though. Or even both, play 2 up front.
-
Surprises me that 21 say he should go yet we're always moaning about changing managers too often. I think every manager deserves another season to make up for any shit one. 2 shit seasons = go.
-
Think the last time we lost at home to Arsenal, we went n beat them in the FA Cup semi. Would LOVE a repeat and beat Tottenham in the final or vica versa. I'm pretty sure we'll win this game.

Cech is awful with his feet.
-
We need to bring in Courtois in a year or 2 because Cech has too many errors now. I love Petr Cech don't get me wrong but he has a phycological problem going into 50/50's and he's now developed chocolate wrists. Van Persie's 3rd against us, he showed very weak wrists/hands. Hernandez's header too was almost right at him but he didn't get a strong enough hand on it and the 2nd goal today was pathetic. He's not an imposing figure any more, he's weak and scared. Can't have a weak, scared GK. Courtois may get his chance sooner than he and we may think. He's having a great season and has every attribute to be the best. Height, size, agility.... Cech should be concerned and Courtois should be watching our games rubbing his hands.

Don't like these threads for a legend really because nobody has any right to say a bad word about him. Lamps, JT and DD are the 3 biggest Chelsea legends in my lifetime but it is certainly time for him to be a squad member and not a first teamer. To say he must go or get him out is totally wrong. He needs to be a bit part squad member, no more, no less. Essien is the biggest concern, he's still at a decent age but injury has ruined him. He's 29 and gone.

I watched the worst Chelsea performance ever (well, since 2 weeks ago) and then watched the last 5 minutes of the Sunderland - Arsenal match. This is one of the worst days i've ever has supporting Chelsea, it's an enormous low. I know we've been pretty shit but i've taken it and taken it but i can't any more because i think this Roman era has officially hit a new low. It's horribly, woefully shameful. Hated today, threw a chair at the wall as hard as i possibly could when Henry scored.

Started today at 5pm and after 4 hours there's already 5 pages and everyone's probably said the same shit that has been said on the AVB thread. Ok how i see it...... He has shit players and he cannot use them how he wants because they're shit. He came in the summer and he had no choice really but to use these players for a year so he can judge them and decide in a years time who needs to go and who needs to stay. It's now February 11th and we already know the answer.... well we knew the answer a year or 2 ago to be fair but as the manager, he can't just get rid of 6 players or so just like that, it takes time. It doesn't matter who the manager is with these players, there is just no cohesion, no tempo and no balance to this side what so ever, it's so poor, even Tottenham are world beaters compared to us and they aint got a Russian Billionaire who can just take 100m out of his pocket n say "YO, here's some dough for Hazard!" When Bosingwa is gone and Malouda and Kalou are gone and we replace them with AVB's signings who will (hopefully) be younger and better with more creativity, pace and skill, we will once again fight for the premiership but until then, we are shit, we will remain being shit and we wont win fuck all because of our manager? no, because of our players? yes. Lampard and Essien have had their time, Essien has really gone, he has no pace and no mobility, his injuries have really fucked him badly. Drogba probably has to go too so they have to be considered 2nd choice and not start every game although part of me wishes DD will be our main striker next season. Raul Meireles has got to play less too because although he helps the team a lot with his work rate, he's the guy to bring on rather than start, he doesn't score and he doesn't create too much either. He's a bit like our Tiago we had in 2005. These players are great to have in the squad though so keep him but use him more sparingly to see a game out. Bottom line is quite simple (probably said that a few times).... Judge him at the end of next season when he either succeeds brilliantly or fails miserably with HIS PLAYERS! Then he would have no excuses. i reckon he's got 2 more years unless things get really, really bad and he has fistycuffs with RA.
-
Just depressing. 2 wins in 9 or shall we say 2 wins in 10 and look what they were.... A 2-1 last minute winner at Wolves and a very fortunate 1-0er over Sunderland. This team is awful, it's awful. We create nothing, we can't score goals and we concede the most pathetic goals. Can't believe what i'm watching. Well actually i can, it's been like this for too long now, too fucking long.
-
Excuse me but.... who? Least u got Piazon right.
-
Germany should have Green away shirts, it's traditional for them.
-
The facts are he played and was impressive, he got better the more he played. He's since not played that much and therefore hasn't played as well but his potential is there. He's not a robot, he's not just gonna walk into the team at 20 and not have a bad game. He was very poor when he came on at the weekend but that was against a very hungry, aggressive Man Utd team that needed to score. This is Man Utd not Bolton, very tough situation for him and he was obviously nervous. I think he should play tomorrow with Essien and Lampard with the usual front 3.
-
I have so much Respect fro Capello now, sticking by his principles and not being taken for a cunt. He's the boss and he should be able to chose who he wants as his captain. He showed a lot of bottle making this decision but he's shown that he's a true man and not one of the FA's sheep. All that the FA and the Media have ever done for the England national team is ruin their chances in every major tournament, and once again, well done to the FA for meddling in team affairs and fucking up our chances in the Summer. I'm a proud Englishman and i love my country but i would not cry one bit if we lost every match horribly in Euro 2012 now. I also think JT should now turn his back on England along with Lamps and GTFO of there. Retire now lads, seriously. It's a sinking ship and a fucking shambles.
-
Cahill has captain qualities imo. He'll be our CB for the next 6 years or so and he's very much in the JT mould.
-
It's February, hopefully soon Arsenal will do their usual thing of losing 60% of all their games (have you seen their next 8 games lol) and we do what we did last season and go on a great run from the end of feb to may.
-
Courtois Hutchinson - Cahill - Luiz - New Signing Mata - Romeu - McEachran Hazard - Lukaku - Sturridge That's assuming he loses faith with Torres, Bertrand, Kakuta and whoever. Might have a new signing instead of McEachran and Hutchinson too but i think we have a good future regardless what we do or who we buy.
-
Wow never saw this thread 4 years ago. His stats on Fifa are beastage btw lol. We don't need him now anyway, we have a very good English future captain and A Brazilian that's getting as hell of a lot better.
-
Watching leg breaks like that are sickening, truly horrible to watch.
-
Shoulda been taken off after 70 mins tho or just after they got the first goal. He was in no position to be running up and down for 90 minutes, he was shattered. Should do him the power of good tho for future games. If he was fully fit, they wouldn't of got so much space in those last 20 mins. So glad he's back tho.
-
Dunno why embedding youtube video's has become such a fucking pain but Cahill AVB Press AVB
-
Quite funny reading through all the pages of comments from the 2nd half lol. We all thought we had it won in truth but you should never say it's over til some fat bitch sings apparently. Can't wait for the weekend. Us away to Everton & Arsenal away at Sunderland. We need big favours from the mackems against them twice. The next 6 games could shape the season.

They have it on RedCafe, works very well. I like the idea. http://www.redcafe.net/f6/post-match-chelsea-v-man-united-348311/
