I will always support any effort to find a player to replace Alonso but I think we still need to see more of Emerson before talking about getting another new left wingback.

Willian played another outstanding game last night and people here are talking about de Bruyne's performances for Belgium. Who cares? We still have a chance to reach top4 if Willian keeps this form until the end of the season. He has been that good.

What does Fabregas do exactly? He can't run, defend, dribble or shoot, and looks like it he can't keep possession either nowadays. The guy has too many deficiencies for this level

Hardly a surprise though. Anyone who saw the first game knew that Sevilla has more quality on the ball, better movement and if they only can finish their chances they'll probably win. Bookmakers gave really good odds for the away win so I want to thank them for their generosity.

Giroud is showing Conte exactly why we need to play a centre forward.

For the same reason why Hazard will never win the Ballon d'Or. The guy wants to pass when he should shoot. Amazing save from Tomkins though.

The wingbacks always enjoy so much space as the opponents feel that they don't need to mark them at all. Alonso always has acres of freedom but his slowness generally allows the opposing players to catch him up quite quickly. Now imagine if we had truly world class players in those positions...

I'm actually very confident about this game after seeing the XI. 3-0 and Giroud will assist at least two of those

In case Courtois and/or Hazard go to Real in the summer, we should make sure that Kovacic is one of the players we are getting in return. There aren't many young midfielders like him in world football at the moment. Technical ability, speed, passing, defensive contribution, he's got it all.

It's not a coincidence that when for the first time in nearly a decade Premier League honestly seems like the top league in the world, these defensive-minded coaches (Conte, Mourinho) are suddenly finding themselves in a lot of trouble. They can only go defensive and win trophies with their football as long as the competition is mediocre. Once attacking-minded coaches get the players that can play their possession football, their teams blow the defensive ones out of the water as we're currently seeing in the Premier League. The club must go and find an attacking-minded coach for next season. The squad and the academy are built for expressive, possession-based football but somehow the board decide to choose a pragmatic coach time and time after again, and to be fair that has been quite successful policy until now. However, now that the other clubs have found their feet, this pragmatic approach might not be the winning formula anymore.

Well I definitely do prefer him over Bakayoko, and therefore he'd improve the squad. I don't know much about his current fitness and form though.

Carlo also had the best squad at his disposal but yeah you're right 2009-10 season we played some cracking football especially in the second half of the season. For some weird reason, despite how poorly he performed at United, I think van Gaal could be a successful short-term option. The squad we have seems to be built to his liking and with couple additions to midfield we could start playing 4-3-3 again. He also knows how to promote youth players whilst bringing home some silverware.

Marko Marin for me was the standout player during his time here. German Messi after all.

I'm afraid damage is already done but we must try something to change the course of this club. And that starts by sacking Conte immediately. A more attack-minded interim coach could play 4-3-3 with this squad for the rest of the season.
