I imagine it must be hard for you guys from Holland, one side want to see him succeeded as a player, but another side don't want to see MU succeeded next season, lol. And one more thing, the manager will play a big part in Depay development. And I'm not sure LVG stubborn approach and method is the best for him at this stage.

If we're gonna sign another CB, if I may choose I will prefer Godin than Varane. Godin is more experienced and I don't think he will moan if being benched and also will cost much less than Varane. Godin and Terry against team with fast attackers. Cahill and Terry against slowly ones. Zouma to play in cup games. Again, I think we should sign Varane only when JT has retired.

More realistic signing I would say.

Depay might become a very good player, but he is yet to prove it at a much better league. Reminds you all about Van Ginkel, he is once one of the best prospect in Eredivise and Holland. And no, I don't think he will be better than Ronaldo. Ronaldo and Messi are on different universe. How many times we heard that this player the next Ronaldo, that player the next Messi, German Messi, Egyptian Messi? No one will even close.
