True. Yeah I wrote as a general rule. Managers cannot bash players however poorly they play… it’s really not their place. The players, as assets, belong to the club, not the manager. unless it’s a behavior issue. Managers tend to have more leverage there and the backing of the squad against a problem player. Its funny that we've been trying to move Kepa on for the past few windows....and yet he's probably the best GK we have "on the books" (Penders looks to be a talent for the future). At least with Kepa, he's showing that he can be a useful option for other clubs. With Sanchez, he is showing exactly why Brighton were so keen to see the back of him.

Same. He's the same "nobody" who was hired. That he's not the final product, much like our squad, is abundantly clear, but that's what the club wanted -- as well as some here as I recall. Fans get attached to players even when they aren't good enough.... managers, not so much.

Hehe same, but I was referring to what managers do. I remember Klopp on Karius back then when he single-handedly lost a CL… he prob wanted to kill him but was very careful when speaking to the press. players are club assets — exposing the shortcoming of players only make it more difficult to move them.
