Why did we even allow a clause in Maresca's contract that allowed him to talk to City? What sort of small club mentality is that shit? Fuck BlueCo.
-
You’re talking like this hasn’t been happening for 2-3 seasons now though. Unfortunately it has been. Hence the lack of real top, top players coming in the door. This is what many of us have been on about for a long time, players like Donnarumma & Guehi were available for transfer at good prices. We weren’t in the running for either. Probably mainly because of wages (can’t cheapskate on wages forever though) & their ages (perfect for what we needed, established players with experience at a good level). Semenyo would walk into our team ahead of both Gittens & Garnacho, approached him before reviewing our options to decide pursuing him wasn’t on the cards (his wages & age would be an issue for the club). Pointless exercise that was done for what? Caicedo & Estevao are the only good players we have beaten top clubs to signing. I mean who was our competition for Delap, Everton? Newcastle? Man Utd? For Joao Pedro, Newcastle again? Not that their top players but its the level of clubs we are competing with for average players.
-
if we cant get ucl next year, both are gone
-
That’s the big problem. You think Cole and Caicedo are going to keep faith in this project. It’s a circus!!
-
Imagine what happens in the summer window when we’ll presumably be competing with loads of other big PL clubs for the same players. What player worth a damn is going to be swayed speaking to Liam fucking Rosenoir? Or for a club that could sack said manager in 6 months time? Or for a club that will pay you half of what you’d get at the other big boys?
-
This didn't age well.. Still factual though.
-
I think as well that Acheampong’s lack of minutes could’ve been Maresca sending a message about not getting a CB also.
-
I said this several times in this forum Our transfer market politic is so stupid
-
Anyone who can’t see this is in denial.
-
Those were the 2 I would have been happy with. All potential candidates are risky but would have them 2 as most likely to succeed. I don't care about favoured formations unless it's something like 2 upfront (which I still believe is a viable option in the game but not for us) other ones we can work around. Rosenior is the riskiest, based on just never having been at a club anywhere near as big as ours.he does have some good qualities so it's not 100% he's going to fail.but it's a longshot.just being bit more sensible, picking players in their best position.recognizing Acheampong is a better CB option than Tosin,Badi.Santos in Midfield ahead of Gusto.making good substitutions would get us lots more.good results.

Its going to be the same again in 12, 18 or 24 months. The model/structure will ostracise any head coach. And all the good ones - or ones who think they are good in Maresca’s case - are usually a bit outspoken or will not take any shit. The medical team thing is madness. As is the pre match review with one of the co owners.

This is what the fans wanted! I will be there when this shit goes absolutely tits up!

May as well just stop with all the names. It’s Rosenoir. It probably has been their one and only candidate for a month once the Maresca noise started. Hell, it may have been their choice before they even appointed Maresca that Rosenoir would eventually become Chelsea manager. We could offer Klopp a £20m per season salary and he wouldn’t even pick up the phone. Someone like him (or any world class manager) wouldn’t touch this ownership/director model with a 50ft pole.
-
Just appoint someone from the directors family..
-
Liam Rosenior, Kieran McKenna and the Porto coach is the shortlist?
-
Glasner, Iraola, Fabregas are not contenders for Chelsea at the moment. (@JacobSteinberg) Hmmm
-
Is anyone surprised? They won’t go after top star name players & haven’t gone for any top managers beforehand with the appointments of Potter, Lampard, Pochettino & now Maresca.
-
🔴Chelsea are not expected to go for a star name such as Zinedine Zidane or Jürgen Klopp. 🌟❌️ (@Matt_Law_DT)

🗯💣Breaking News Andoni Iraola is being considered to become the next Chelsea head coach. (via @kierangill_DM / @MikeKeegan_DM)
-
This is not what I asked for for Christmas. We are such a broken club.
-
🔴John Terry will NOT be on the shortlist for the position of head coach at Chelsea. (@kierangill DM)
-
🚨Liam Rosenior, the Strasbourg head coach, will be a leading contender to succeed Enzo Maresca after his 2 seasons in France working for Chelsea owners BlueCo. Former Brighton Player. 🔗 Matt Law - Telegraph Shit….😑
