I still feel like Man United are the most loved club, but also the most hated club. Man City is slowly catching up because all they did was spend big. People felt the same when we did it. Now that Man City stole that title from us (Big Spenders) we sort of hovering. Media just expect a lot from us thats all.

We've been really hated since Roman came and everyone kept saying we 'bought the league'. Just like we hate City now, because it seems they take most of our targets, the same happened with us when Roman first arrived and dished out the millions. People also blame us for inflating the transfer market when really that was Real Madrid in their first 'galacticos' era, and subsequently their second one.

They also hate us because according to most clubs we 'have no history' and so we didn't deserve such a heavy investment. A really stupid notion, but there you have it, people often like to forget we were actually doing quite well before Roman. Consistently a 5th place team, and occasional 4th. We were always a challenge during the Bates era, unlike Manchester City. It's easy for us to hate City because they're doing what we were used to.

No, media don't hate us. They're just doing their job and AVB's unnecessarily made it easier for them to pick on us. Rumours around Carlo weren't nothing special, and I don't see why we should see that and what's happening to AVB as media hatred and furthermore, consider changing the way we are because we aren't 'likeable'. Last season here in Brazil Corinthians' manager was under pressure, the media were talking about the axe all the time, what happened? The Chairman went to the press and told them: he is our manager, even if we lose 10-0 at home he is staying as our manager. Corinthians won the league after all.

Why dont people from Chelsea say they are behind AVB? Why they never said Carlo Ancelotti job was safe? Because they are not behind AVB and because Carlo wasnt safe. Thats why the italian was axed and thats why it will be a surprise if AVB start next season as Chelsea's manager.

No that was an example of how they hate us. The point behind it, regardless of the outcome (and for the record there were articles about Carlo being sacked even in his first season when we got knocked out of the CL), is that with the constant stream of sacking rumors for a few months, the media puts enormuos pressure on the manager and the players, affecting our results negetively. As opposed to how they treat liverpool for example who spent more than any other club in the summer transfer window and sit below us in the table, yet King kenny is still portrayed as the best manager in the PL.

I love the fact United, Liverpool and Tottenham fans are so bitter they have to resort to defending each other clubs to try and score points over ours.

I wouldn't want it any other way, there is no worse feeling then getting the pat on the back unlucky good game like Liverpool get now and Tottenham got in the CL last season, nothing worse.
