  1. 1. Who you want to see as the new manager?

Be that as it may. Hiddink was in an advisory role when we were looking for his replacement in 2009. And he publicly backed Ancelotti in the papers when he was appointed. So 'if' he recommended Carlo's sacking, he essentially made a mistake recommending him in the first place.

This is all if's and but's really though, Hiddink is a club advisor yes, But that doesn't mean he advises the club on everything. I'd imagine Roman hired Carlo solely on the fact that he has the know how of winning the Champions League, and I can't imagine Hiddink woud advise Roman to sack Ancelloti either. I know Guus publicly backed Carlo when he was appointed but maybe he felt he had too after Chelsea fans wanting to see Guus stay.

You say it's all if's & but's, but you yourself have just indulged in an 'if & but', lmao. So you've contradicted your own argument.

I wasn't arguing, I was giving my opinion on the matter. It is all If's and but's at the moment, Because no one know's what Hiddink's potential role in Carlo's hiring/sacking was.

Not necessarily. If back then Roman was looking for a manager who could win the Champions League the sooner possible with the current squad, then Hiddink has made the right choice, a priori. And if in may Roman was looking for a manager with certain abilities which Ancelotti didn't have, then Hiddink was right to advise him to sack Carlo. Nah mean lol ?

Yea, fair enough, I see your point.

It will forever be just speculation though. Nobody knows the inner workings of the chelsea hierarchy, especially not the papers.

Yup. And most important point, we don't know what Roman has in mind. So yeah, pure speculation.
