This is more than a blip for City. Pep has never stayed at a club for this period of time and the cracks could be showing.

What Sir Alex was able to do at United during his tenure was truly special.

On a side note, our special home record will remain untouched.

Pep also doesn't have Howard Webb sucking red rudolph nose constantly.

Webb started refereeing in 03, Sir Alex took over United in '86. What's the reason behind the 17 years prior?

After 90-91, United finished within the top four 22 times, winning the league thirteen times. The ability to rebuild after losing key players and keep winning is unmatched.

And City is in the top four...so what is the issue?

Just like City now, SAF wasn't amazing every year.

I was to young and didn't watch back then but wasn't the Premier League no way near as strong? City didn't exist, Liverpool in turmoil, only competing with Arsenal for the most of it, nowadays even midtable clubs have powerful squads.

His record in CL says a different story just 2 titles one which he only won because Terry slipped. If peak Rudolph managed now he wouldn't be anywhere near as dominant as back then.

Are you really being serious now?

How much has Pep actually spent over the last eight years, and how many charges are City contesting (which Pep has benefited from)? FYI, Sir Alex NEVER lost four on the bounce, let alone five.

It all depends on how you want to look at things. There were more games per season till 94-95, and money was far less common (Blackburn were the only side that comes to mind that spent big to win their only PL title), meaning smart transfers and good management played a big role. You have to remember Sir Alex made United competitive across three different decades, which is something that is clearly forgotten by many.

Winning CL titles is a completely different ball game where luck plays a much bigger role. He came across arguably the best footballing side in two other finals, so his record isn't as bad as you make it seem.
