Arsenal 1 Watford 0: Gunners blasted over ‘unsporting’ Smith-Rowe goal after refusing to give ball back following injury

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/16663673/arsenal-smith-rowe-watford-injury/

Fans watching at home were not impressed with Arsenal's behaviour, with one writing on Twitter: "What on Earth was that? Arsenal just being ridiculously unsporting??????"

Another added: "Wait so rose kicks it out of play for their injured player to get treatment and arsenal take the throw in and score from it. Including the dirtiest obstruction from AMN. Typical Arsenal man. Dirty cheating club."

A third said: "That's such a BS goal. Arsenal should have given the ball back on the throw and Sarr was CLATTERED in the build-up. Sissoko is right to tell them off."

And Claudio Ranieri was clearly unhappy with the manner of Arsenal's winner and exchanged some angry words with Mikel Arteta.

City are the more serious title challengers - they have an easy run of games in December too

They lost to Palace, so games that look easy on paper could prove much more challenging for them.

Are Norwich already planning for life back in the Championship?

Hiring Lampard would be an interesting appointment but it would also feel like a disaster waiting to happen, if Norwich are serious about trying to stay in the Premier League. Unless somehow Lampard has mastered the art of organizing a defence, what exactly would he bring that Daniel Farke did not? Under Farke, they could barely score a goal and were conceding goals for fun. Maybe Lampard might make them score more goals somehow but can he keep them tight at the back after what we saw at Derby and Chelsea with him? On top of that, he also doesn't have any experience in fighting against relegation and teams around Norwich at the bottom of the league all have experienced managers at the helm.

I don't know why people are not looking at Palace as strong as a Leicester or West Ham at the moment. They only lost to us and Liverpool so far this season. Arsenal, Spuds, West Ham, Leicester and City all failed to beat them.

I agree. They would be much higher had they not thrown away leads late on against Brighton & Arsenal to name two.

Ole and Manchester United ruining another top class player, can't believe we didn't bring him home instead of wasting all that money on Lukaku.

Gotta say, I find this narrative that because Solskjaer is suddenly using the back 3, Sancho doesn't have a place in the system somewhat amusing. Maybe some players are different but Conte and Tuchel turned our wingers/wide players into narrow forwards/no.10s and made it work in the back 3 system. Or even when they aren't playing that way in the back 3 setup, the players would play like wingers and stretch the play while the wing backs are the ones going infield to join the attack etc.

Tuchel is attacking with the wingbacks. From what I have seen with Man Utd, they are playing a back 5 most of the time since changing formation.

By narrative, I meant those outside of United talking about Sancho. It's clear Solskjaer is a clueless manager.
