Henrique 9,133
The article talks about him as assitant manager, so it would be a wonderful idea, Zola + Guardiola would make a awesome pair.

GodZola 630
It's looking more likely by the week that Zola done a better job at West Ham than the only manager of our club to take us to a CL final - he kept them up last season & done well the previous one, not sure if Avram will keep them up this season? Just thought i'd throw that one in!Agree though with what's already been said that I wouldn't want him to manage as he should remain as a person with legendary status but if things went wrong then his reputation would get tarnished & I couldn't bare to think that to happen of the great man.If there is one person on this planet that you would want to coach players that has Chelsea in his blood then Zola has to be the man, our attackers now could do with some tips on movement up front because its quite static at times. The senior players would be in awe of him but just think what wonders he could do for our promising youth players especially Sturridge but more so MacEachran & the incoming Piazon. For me he could do the Wilkins role but could add that touch of finesse. This would be a match made in heaven, give him a job for life Roman - come home please Franco. EskWeston 696
I can't see how we could lose by appointing Zola as assistant manager for Carlo, his input on the training pitch would be invaluable and he would gain the respect of the players at the club also. I really hope this done happen...

Kez 2,727
Would LOVE to see him as assistant. He's still got alot to learn before he can become manager though. It's what all Chelsea fans dream of but we need to be realistic. He's a legend as a player but not yet is he a proven quality manager. He could learn alot from Carlo. I'm still pissed off because of yesterdays debacle but if true this news will give everyone a boost associated with our club.
Kajo 176
I hope he will back to us as a assistant of Carlo and spend here couple of long years and I hope Zola will learn something from Carlo to be his successor when Carlo decide it's time to back to Italy. steve5221 91
It makes huge sense to have him back, a true chelsea man. While we are at it can we also nick Steve Clarke off Liverpool??
TotallySnivy 3
We need Zola as Assistant Manager. Then when Carlo leaves, Lampard/Terry can aid Zola when he becomes manager. It would be the best thing we could plan out right now (besides bringing in the likes of McEachran ect).
warnie_666 1,081
The club has te tendency to fuckk off our legends for some reason. Who is to say they won't treat Zola the same way as they treated ray?I would love the Carlo - Zola combo. But I'm vary about how the club would treat him in a year or two
