Rooney is a world class CAM, most of his best attributes are actually useful when he plays there unlike when he plays as a striker, Rooney is declining physically, and has had to adapt his game, that is why he is much better CAM than Striker now.

he is a striker who just combines and plays deeper. same as benzema. still nobody would say Benzema is a CAM. he is a striker. as is rooney. but rooney just offers more than standing in the box and scoring. look at his goal ratio...he mostly scored 20 goals or more. in 11/12 he scored like 26 or 27 goals...as a "CAM"

@The only place to be: The difference between Romelu and Rooney: Lukaku CAN be a world-class striker...Rooney IS a world-class striker.

You have nothing to base this on.... Have you seen his training reports?

And the guy is a CF, much like messi, he drifts into gaps offering outlets to his midfield bringing others into the game. Point is he is world class, this last month Neynar, Hazard, Ferdinand and Mourinho have said just that....

More from Ben Smith:

Chelsea offered David Luiz or Juan Mata plus £10m. United flaty rejected it. Chelsea will come back with another bid, however.

David Luiz was magnificent for Brazil at #Confeds and showed growing maturity at heart of Chelsea's defence. But not for Jose.

It was known in the very early hours of the morning/last night that we'd bid for Rooney. The Daily Mail will have got the same info from the same or similar sources and then decided to make the Luiz/Mata trade story out of thin air.

Ben Smith at the BBC doesn't know shit. The BBC aren't reliable when it comes to their own actual journalists. He constantly posts whatever rumour has speed adding to it regardless whether it's concrete or not.

Nothing to worry about.
