Wayne Rooney

Rooney did not want to move himself, he just wanted to complain and make some noise and pressurize the manager to play him in his favourite position. Now he is scared himself by the prospect of him having to leave to play first-team football. He himself never wanted this to go so far, but was too naive to calculate the consequences. Now he hopes for all to blow over and things somehow fix themselves.

I completely agree. I said this a few pages back. I feel you are all going through this for no reason. It's hard I know, because I'm guilty of it myself (hoping a player will join) - but people should just get over it. He's not joining Chelsea.

Probably you will be in for shock - like WTF

He scored in their "behind closed doors" friendly today again Real Betis.

thats the proof that his determination too leave aint that much. seems like we will go in to the season with torres, ba and lukaku. winning the title with these striker force seems impossible.

That prooves he played and that proves he scored a goal. Nothing more, nothing less.

if he would've wanted the transfer he would've refused to play, same as Bale. seems like he isnt prepared to do everyhting possible to get the transfer.

Because he is not going to take a drop in pay cut when he can earn £250k for 2 more years if he stay. He is a mercenary type, he is not gonna move to us because we have a better project or team. He will move to us because he get to play ST and can still earn the same as he is currently having at MU. If he is main ST again this season instead of RVP he will not demand to leave.

Played for Utd for 9 years, only two teams in his whole career, and you call him a mercenary? lol

Wow!!!

Think your wrong, the fact he hasn't said he wants to stay as UTD is damning. The fact we have an agreement with UTD not to discuss it is also eye brow raising, why would we ever agree to that?

Reminds me off a house chain, just waiting for that one signature to start the ball rolling... BALE!!!!

The 40m being reported is most likely rubbish. We are not desperate for him, he's the one who wants to leave. Not to mention the club has made it clear on several occasions that we won't be spending that kind of money. If this is going to go through, I think the fee will be somewhere between the original 24m reported by Sky and 30m, but not more.

I can confirm that Wayne Rooney stay at Manchester United.

Well, if you say so.. Darn it.

Honestly, I'm one of the people who think we already have some sort of agreement with United. The way things have boiled down after that first offer just seem stranger than usual. We've stopped discussing it, but getting these sneaky clues to him coming this way. Hopefully United won't screw us over on Deadline Day.

Fabregas hasn't said he wants to stay at Barcelona either - does that mean he will sign for us?

The majority of people have forgotten one simple but very telling FACT. The only thing Rooney has come out and said is that he did NOT ask to leave officially or hand in a transfer request. When the media get the slightest glimpse of something like this they get the ball and run with it. They are so good at it now that they make us so confused we don't know what to believe. All you have to do is try and look at the facts. Rooney was very annoyed about this whole affair and even worried about what United fans will think. Is this the thinking of a guy who will leave the club? I don't think so.
