Gerrard's shots are more powerful, but Lampard's are more accurate. Also, Lampard has the ability to create something out of nothing. Gerrard needs the players around him to create something, be it Torres or Xabi Alonso. I don't think he's as "incredible" as you make him out to be - I'd also argue Lampard's a better passer than Gerrard is. Gerrard's control is better, but long balls? Lampard wins.

In contrast to Gerrard, it is easy at times to miss the contributions of this highly motivated individual such is the wonderful simplicity of his passing game. One or two touches, he rarely takes more when that middle ground becomes unbearably congested.

Seriously Steven Gerrard is one of the greatest most naturally talented players the English have ever produced. He is better than Lampard and that is the truth, Gerrard inspires players, he plays the game with hunger and desire plus his ability is out of this world.

Is this the same gerrard that when giving the opportunity to 'inspire' the national team as captain has led us out of contention for the euro 2008 took us from going through to falling at the final hurdle or captaining us through a abysmal world cup campaign, or the same gerrard that is currently inspiring liverpool out of their slump or the player that is so tactically ill disciplined that the only place you can play him is behind the strikers as if you play him deeper he leaves giant holes in the middle of the park when he makes one of his driving runs forward that result in fuck all.
