I wouldn't be disappointed to play Essien at right-back for this one. Carlo has said he isn't sleeping, but if he does before Sunday at all, he'll be having nightmares about Bale against Ferreira.

The more I think about it, the more I want to see YJM start, and I've been one of the ones on here saying 'no' for weeks about Josh starting when others have campaigned for it. I know he's probably not quite 'there' for it, for such a big game, but try telling me Ramires is? Josh's performance in Marseille was as comfortable and mature as any of the other 10 players out there, and his passing and vision will do far more for the performance than 90 minutes of Ramires running around like a lunatic. Plus, Mikel, Essien, Josh would give us a bit of everything in midfield and give us a positive, creative link between the midfield and front three. I can't be the only one who wants this?

FloMo will be vital if we're going to pull this off. He's probably been our most consistent player, and perhaps, our biggest threat to scoring. We should play the team around him.

Does anyone know the state of Zhirkov? We could really do with him :(

No VdV? Huge boost! He's been one of their main goal scorers, and he's been huge in assists for Crouch! That's one source cut off, now we can divert resources to keeping Bale quiet (and hopefully Cole doesn't forget about Lennon). Definitely see us coming away with the points now, a good time to play Tottenham perhaps?

Modric is fit apparently. Van der Vaart, Huddlestone, Kranjcar, Jenas and King all out.

Gomes

Hutton Gallas Bassong Assou-Ekotto

Lennon Modric Palacios Bale

Crouch Defoe

Kaboul, Keane, Pavluychenko are their only other real options.

I definitely weakened side. I'm feeling 3points here!!

Anyone else? :D

(I also hope Gallas gets RIPPED apart)

No. Lampard is not fit again.

Carlo also said he won't change our shape (=formation)

Carlo spoke with Abramovich after the Marseille game, he confirmed the he has Roman's total support .

Ferreira will play at RB

"'Obviously Gareth Bale could be a very dangerous player, we have to pay attention, but I don't want to put Ivanovic right-back. Right-back will be Ferreira, obviously we need support from midfielders to control him and we'll try to do this."

Carlo on CFC

I was hoping for a back four like this - Ivan , Bruma, JT, Cole but oh well.

So pretty much confirmed then,

Cech

Ferreira, Ivan, JT, Cole

Mikel

Essien, Ramires/Malouda

Anelka, Drogba, Kalou/Malouda

dissapointed in Carlo for his stubborness.

Here's hoping he can shock me, but how can playing a same team that hasn't won a match in the league for weeks on end suddenly start winning?

And, for fucksake, how much further time is Lampard going to be out for?

We need a new medical staff, some that know what the fuck needs to happen!
