the wes 7,212
Chelsea havebeen linked with a move for Neymar - a 17-year-old Brazilian strikerwho has been drawing comparisons to Robinho and even the great Pele. FIFAagent Giuliano Bertolucci, who worked on Chelsea's signing of Brazildefender Alex from PSV Eindhoven five years ago, is said to haveapproached the striker's representative on behalf of the Blues. Reportsin Brazil say the Barclays Premier League table-toppers would beprepared to offer about £13.5million for the Santos player, a figurewhich is about half of the player's release clause. Neymar has been linked to Arsenal, Manchester United and City, as well as Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus and Barcelona. Hisfather Neymar da Silva Santos admits that the player's agent WagnerRibeiro has been approached, but is reluctant to speak until a formaloffer is made. Ribeiro sealed Robinho's move from Santos toReal Madrid in 2005 and his subsequent £34m British transfer switch toManchester City in September last year. 'Wagner has been sounded out, but there is nothing official,' said Neymar Sr. 'Therefore,we haven't moved any further because Wagner can only go to Santos whenthere is something official. For now, we're not dealing with any ofthat. 'Neymar is very young. He had a good year, but stillneeds to grow. I don't think that now is the time to leave. He needs toshow more for Santos and win titles here. Prepare better.' Neymaris already in the Santos first team, scoring nine goals from 12 startsand 18 appearances from the bench in Brazil's Serie A this season. He would not be able to register for a team outside Brazil until his18th birthday in February, but there is already plenty wanting to takehim out of South America. http://www.dailymail...e.html?ITO=1490
EskWeston 696
Brazilian teen sensation Neymar is set for a mega-money move to the Barclays Premier League at the end of the season, with Chelsea and Manchester City leading the race to secure his signature. The 18-year-old striker, who has been compared to exiled City forward Robinho, has long been a target of Manchester United. But according to the player's agent, Neymar is likely to be wearing blue next season. Speaking to calciomercato.it, Augusto Frederico Pena said: 'There is every likelihood that Neymar will leave Santos in the summer. I think there are more opportunities for English teams.'In the Premier League, he is followed by Chelsea and Manchester City, although there is nothing concrete.' It has been reported that Robinho's loan move, and the possibility of a permanent deal to Santos, will give City the first option for Neymar, providing they activate his contract escape clause which is thought to stand at £32million. However, City's plans to land Neymar, may well have been thwarted, after Robinho urged his young compatriot to stay at Santos. The Brazil international said: 'Europe for them is a natural step. They don't need to rush to leave.''Many people see Europe and see a thousand marvels because of the Champions League, the marketing, the structure. But it is not that simple. 'You can earn well and be more secure, but the downside is that you are in a different country, with a different language, in a team that is not so well integrated. 'You need luck to fall into a good team with people there to help you.'Source: Daily Mail
chrismada9 1,948
this guy has been dubbed the new Robinho apparently, so that could go down well. I hope we can sign him, and he becomes a big hit.
Henrique 9,133
This boy is hot and is better than Robinho by miles. They are playing at the same team right now: Santos, and he is overshadowing Robinho. Very young though. Im not sure its time for him to go to Chelsea. We Hate Scouse 10,326
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1290956/Neymar-join-West-Ham-loan--permanent-switch-Chelsea.htmlWest Ham are closing in on deal to sign Brazilian wonderkid Neymar on a season-long loan. The 18-year-old Santos forward would then join Chelsea in a year's time. The Brazilian side are weighing up whether to accept a £16million for their prize asset, who has also been tracked by Real Madrid. Manchester City negotiated first refusal on Neymar and his 20-year-old team-mate Paulo Henrique Ganso when they agreed to let Robinho join Santos on loan and they will be offered the chance to match any offer they accept.Skilful Neymar, who has scored 27 goals in 30 games this year, is 40 per cent owned by an investment group who must also agree on the fee. They only way to guarantee his outright signing is to meet his £28.4m release clause.Despite being uncapped and unable to automatically receive a work permit, the Under 17 international is one of the most talented teenagers in the world and should be awarded permission to play on appeal.Would absolutely love this! EskWeston 696
Not a bad idea, but there is also a lot to be said for bringing him straight in and getting used to Chelsea and the way we are set up, sending him off to Chadwell Heath every day isn't going to do much to make him warm to London and English football............ Randall 315
I'll tell you now this kid is a bit of a future star. This is exactly the kind of signing we should be making -- I love the idea of sending him off on loan for a season to west ham as well to get valuable first team experience bit like what we did with alex and are doing with delac. If you haven't seen this kid go and look at some videos.
