Carlos Alberto (Brazil Coach)

Neymar, expected to start alongside Ronaldinho here against Lionel Messi et al, will still be only 30 in 2022. Carlos Alberto believes the Santos forward, whom Chelsea are monitoring, should have, by then, long since established himself as the globe's foremost player. "Neymar is the best Brazilian player in the last five years," he says. "He's already ready to be a big star in Europe. "Sometimes he can be a bit crazy but Neymar can be the best in the world, in two or three years time he can be there."

Neymar prefers Juventus

Young Brazilian ace Neymar claims Chelsea and Manchester United are chasing his signature, but says he would prefer a move to Juventus.

The striker, who currently plays for native club Santos, has revealed he is on the radar of the two Premier League clubs, as well as European giants Juve, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

But the 18-year-old, who scored on his Brazil debut earlier this year, claims he would turn down all other interest for a deal at the Delle Alpi.

"There are five big clubs interested in me: Juventus, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Inter Milan," Neymar told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The proposal that I like most is that from Juventus. They have great worldwide appeal.

"The Nerazzurri have prestige, but I prefer Juventus.

"I say this without problems - I'd willingly wear the Bianconeri jersey."

Neymar says Santos have moved to dispel interest from other clubs by insisting he is not on the market, but the teenager is adamant a January move to Europe is on the cards.

"The club's officials have said that I'm not for sale," he added. "But I don't think the same.

"This may be the right time to try the European adventure."

His manager said that he never said that. I believe its a lie, because Juventus is far from being popular in Brazil, and is a poor club in Europe right now.

I don't think it will man!! Until we sign him??

Why would anyone want to join Juventus anyway. May I recall Fulham beating them 4-1 in the Europa League last year??

Your telling me if you had the chance for Juventus you would pass it up. Juventus is one of the biggest teams in Europe!

Okay I admit, they are a team with a host of European pedigree, but if I was a young superstar with the world at my feet, I'd be wanting to play alongside other quality superstars at either Barcelona, Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea, United.... At the moment I don't think Juve don't really have anyone well-known bar the likes of Felipe Melo, Del Piero and maybe Krasic?? (no offence to any Juve fans here)

Although I must admit, Juve's history does draw some attention, if you're a Serie A follower I suppose.

The Only reason He's said he would rather go to Juventus, Is because Neymars agent is a snake. Neymar and his agent have complete control over his contract and will want to squeeze every penny out of a BIG summer signing. The fact that hes said he prefers Juventus is just speculation to keep the other BIG EUROPEAN HEAVY WEIGHT clubs in check.

Juventus would be able to give him first team football, clearly Neymar isn't confident he can break into the Chelsea team.

Lack of ambition.

I wouldn't blame any young player for being hesitant to join our club, I mean what does Sturridge think when Kalou is starting and he's left on the bench. He'll get more game time at Juventus and can possibly join one of the giants a couple of years later.

Is Sturridge really good enough though?..

Maybe Neymar is actually capable of making an impact with limited time.

Who knows..
