CHOULO19 24,332
@, for players to have patience, they should have some sort of motivation, because lets face it, not everyone is like Ryan. Josh for example had two very good games in the pre-season and gave two assists but was not given another chance later. What kind of message does that send out to him? I hope he gets some minutes tomorrow, although I believe it is highly unlikely.
Chelsea? 892
We wouldn't be Chelsea if a 19 year old could walk into our starting

OneMoSalah 8,886
Best loan for Josh would be somewhere in Spain but we all know how fucking stupid the board is to realize that and try strike up a link with a decent enough Spanish team.... unrealistic though still but would be better than the Championship/PL imo. Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
josh josh josh, i agree with KOF that he has to make it in pivot role because mata, hazard, oscar, kdb, piazon, marin just wayy too good.and i ony suspect kdb will be a pivot player....so thats one hell of a crowded attack AND all young so they wont be goin anywhere.feel for him because he has all this hype and club isn't makin it any easier for him to break through.a future mid core of- 7 players includin josh.......ouch all we can do is pray he has some sturridge like loan in near future. also as a side point im a bit angry too....cuz i look at arenal....jack wilshere and josh could have been our wilshere (except injuries) if we learned to give youngesters a chance. So secretly failing a drugs test and being out for like 2 seasons (will probably happen tbh). Na I agree if we'd played Josh last season he'd have a hell of alot more experience and would have turned out better. Severinb 309
What puzzles me is why mereiles and essien can play and he is not even considered in our freindly games! We should loan him out to a PL club so he can get 20-30 games and if not to a championship team that plays attacking football like blackpool or brighton! OneMoSalah 8,886
What puzzles me is why mereiles and essien can play and he is not even considered in our freindly games!Essien and Meireles put themselves about and have plenty of experience compared to Josh.Anyway under AVB Josh played good in those Carling Cup games. AVB's philosophy seemed better suited for Josh, same with Romeu. I just hope he goes on loan this year to a decent club who play decent enough football (maybe Brighton, Blackpool, Wigan or a lower league Spanish club )
Kieran. 6,317
Middlesbrough are hoping to tie up a deal to sign highly-rated Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran on a season-long loan.-itv
CHOULO19 24,332
Since we are obviously not looking to give Josh decent first team chances, I think a year-long championship loan is probably the best for him. Only down side to that is that he will miss the NextGen competition.
royg 96
He definitely needs a good loan season for his development. I fear for his future with CFC having Oscar around, hopefully after 1 or 2 good loan season he will be automatic first team selection. cujo101 75
A move to the Boro? WTF? He needs to stay in the Premiership. F*cking annoyed. Is there no joined up thinking at Stamford Bridge? Looks like Josh will go the same way as Scott Sinclair...

Like exactly the same, except maybe McEachran isn't as aware as Oscar defensively. royg

Aside from being better in defense i believe Oscar is better in terms of positioning and being more available to passes. Josh just needs more playing time to develop and gain more experience. Looks like Josh will go the same way as Scott Sinclair...Well it didnt quite work out at Swansea and just look at the case of Bertrand who spent a period in the Championship. The idea that Josh is going to be our next star and pushing too far with him etc looking for solely premiership clubs is maybe pressuring him. He is still young and the Championship would be good for him to get some good first team action and improve. The league is quite competitive and he would get more game time there
Kinol 337
If a loan move to Championship will give him regular first team football and 25+ apps then im okey with that. It will really make him good.
