CHOULO19 24,332
Upon that, the weird thing is that marriage happens on agreement between the parents rather than the bride and the groom. India especially.Same here to some extent, especially in the conservative Islamic part of our society. Stingray
BluesChick 1,260
Research indicates it is mostly women that cheat because the relation is broken. Men do it for a variety of other reasons as well ...By which i am in no way excusing nor condemning. Also: i agree we are evolving intona society that takes relationships/marriage too lightly. Most of the time it is the childrennthat pay the price .Men are very physical creatures! LOLMarriage can work but it must be a partnership and requires work. Most people cannot or will not put the work in that is needed. You need to work to keep the love alive, the romance alive and to keep the interest in the bedroom alive. If you don't you will fail. BluesChick 1,260
I have a question for the Brits ... Does it irritate you when people edit the phrase "keep calm and carry on" to suit their needs? It seems very poplar in the US right now and frankly I get irritated since 99% of those that like it could not tell you the origin. Magic Lamps 11,692
Met a blonde girl with epic boobs and decent face today. Got the courage to approach her but when she got out of her car I saw she was only about 1m (3'10''). I was so surprised I forgot my pickup line and all I could utter was "Du bist klein" ("You are tiny"), which can be a decent opener, provided she is no liliputian. I wonder how she could reach the pedals of the car. DDA and SinineUltra

It was the third in a series of propaganda posters used during WWII by the British Government's Ministry of Information. Dion 2,476
I must admit this question allows others to accept a different view to the whole genetic predisposition of homosexuality That is a really effective way of showing people that homossexuality is not a choice. Let me meet some people who use it and spoil their fun by asking its origin. Pretty sure 90% people have no idea where it came from. I am now in the other 10% , thanks to you. Stingray 9,441
I must admit this question allows others to accept a different view to the whole genetic predisposition of homosexuality Actually that would not make evolutionary sense, that adaptation would select itself out of a population (although some suggested other hypotheses like the 'homosexuals help others more and spread their genes as well because they had straight sex once in a while- hypotheses). So, from a strictly Darwinian viewpoint, homosexuality shouldn't still be around. It is simply is the worst wayway to pass along one's genes, and to complicate the picture further, no "gay genes" have even been identified.More recent and better hypotheses is that the explanation lies not in DNA - genes itself. Instead, as an embryo develops, sex-related genes are turned on and off in response to fluctuating levels of hormones in the womb, produced by both mother and child. So take a male embryo - during the right time window there is an influx of progesteron and oestrogenes - and the genes get activated that 'sexualizes' the brain in a female way. The more hormones, the more feminine the males brain and behaviour. That is why homosexuals can range from being very manly (eg footballer ) to very, very female. The other way around works as well: female embryo that gets too much testosterone. Here as well you see the female homosexuals range from very manly to just as feminine as you would expect. Scientist have tested this hypotheses by injecting the wombs of mice, birds and i think even monkeys. Worked everytime :-) The original research was done at the uni and research group where I was working in Santa Barbara. Coolest ever :-) http://www.jstor.org/stable/10.1086/668167So yes, homosexuality is very, very natural and yes the prevalence of it is cross culturally identical no matter what belief systems or religious taboos are in place. Also, no people do not chose this. Now, isn't it very discriminating not to give them the same rights we have?Ps: funniest forum member ..... Eat that! whatthemata 249
I must admit this question allows others to accept a different view to the whole genetic predisposition of homosexuality Wow, this is a great take on retraining the human mind that homeosexuality should't be different and not normal for others. I agree though from one of the last speaker's that some people get confused due to their environment - that is definitely a factor due to peer pressure or simply the effort to fit in. Great insight!
