DavidEU 2,023
TOCFCWS:Chelsea Football Club can confirm it has agreed terms with Real Madrid for the transfer of Ricardo Carvalho. The transfer is subject to a medical and the player agreeing personal terms.Chelsea would like to thank Riccy for his six years of service, and we wish him well in his future career. In total he played 203+7 times for Chelsea, scoring 11 times, and during his time at Stamford Bridge helped us to three Premier League titles, two FA Cups and two Carling Cups.Thankyou for six brilliant years Riccy. Probably the best centre half the club has ever had. €8m apparently.Good luck Percy.

chrismada9 1,948
Horrible news! I really wanted us to keep him. But in all fairness, you can't keep a player who has ambitions elsewhere. get a bid for David Luiz prepared!
Kostas 1,468
A big thank you is in order.Best of luck to him.Shall be remembered for years to come.Forget Ballack, Cole or anyone else who has moved on this summer. LDN Blue 7,903
What a fantastic player! He is certainly a BIG Chelsea legend! John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho. Not too long ago, seeing those two names side-by-side was the most fearful sight for any team facing them. Ricardo was a big factor in our first ever Premier League title. We owe this man a massive Thank You for a great service to the club! I'm glad he's finishing his career under Jose at such a prestigious club.Good luck Ricardo Carvalho

DavidEU 2,023
John terry ?Close 1/2. Was based on pure footballing ability. JT has so many other qualities that make him a legend, but maybe just maybe, Ricardo was a better player.

LDN Blue 7,903
Just a TINY glimmer of what this great man was all about In 10years, when people speak of Chelsea legends.. John Terry, Frank Lampard, Marcel Desailly, Dennis Wise you bet your grandchildren Ricardo Carvalho will be up there with them.

NoFear 23
Goodbye and Good luck... On pure footballing ability, I had rate him more than our own JT. He was THAT good. Sad to see him go but probably the right time too. A huge boost for Bruma to be the 4th choice CB at such a young age !!! Am I the only one thinking Riccy was moved on to make space for Ozil ?!?! For one of the 17 foreign players quota ?~?
