Khedira works very hard, good engine, but i think Mikel is better on the ball, Mikel is brilliant at calming with pressure and his passing also his movment at making himself available, but off the ball Mikel gets beat by a lot of CDM's, he needs more pace.

Obviously Khedira is better than Mikel as a true CDM...after-all, we converted Mikel from an attacking midfielder (a position where he sparkled for Nigeria at the U-17 World Cup..and won the Silver Award behind none-other than Argentina's maestro, Leo Messi) to a defensive midfielder.

I'd prefer Chelsea to look at Yann M'Villa IF we were interested in signing a CM/CDM for the future. He looks the real deal for his club and for the French national team.

What our team lacks more than anything is a real maestro. Someone like Modric; Jovetic.

I disagree that we don't need him. What would happen if Mikel gets injured tomorrow? I really didn't like Raul playing at CDM.

You're right he is more like essien, but we all know that by the time essien returns and regains his form, he'd be injured again...

Don't think Essien will ever be the same again. Lets see how his recovery goes but if there are any more setbacks then we should just part company with him.

My God... You know, nothing is blocked in a time wrap or some similar stuff. It ain't because he was the Bison yesterday that he will remain the best midfielder tomorrow. And do you even know why so many people are doubting in him ? Because he has just picked up his third knee injury. The third in three year. One injury of this type can easily put a term to a player's career, so let alone three of this injury. Futhermore, we have witnessed that he wasn't the same after his second knee injury, his overall level has well decreased. Thus, we can only figure out the worst for him. In my honest opinion, I do not think we will ever see him again playing for us... So, if we see him in a Chelsea shirt again, that would be a great achievement, to my eyes.

ps : By the way, what's this habit with the capital letters ? Lol.

We've got Essien, Mikel, Romeu plus Meireles and Luiz who can play that position. Simply covered in that area. What we do need is perhaps a winger, playmaker and a right back unless Bosingwa performs solid through out the season
