Tomo 21,751
If you believe in fate, AVB got sacked a week after Guus Hiddink took the Anzhi job, had he been available, Roman would have surely asked him to return, no?
Ollie 4,400
Likely yeah and tbh it woulda been even more of a 'revenge' if it had been Hiddink in charge of us in the Camp Nou on Tuesday but i am so pleased that Robbie has done so well. The fact that Robbie has an identical record to Guus after 16 games and didn't win the UCL speaks volumes as Roman wanted to keep Guus. I'm confident that Robbie will get his chance, i genuinely am. Cosmin 2,484
If the Blues don't win the UCL trophy, I bet Roman won't give a crap about Di Matteo's record. I want him to stay as much as anyone else and I think he proved that he deserves to be where he is, but we know Roman...Let's just hope that the best case scenario will happen. not a big fan 9
I love RDM as a player and an interim manager but imo he's not experienced and tatically astute enough to be in charge of a big club plagued by player power and owner's caprice like Chelsea for a whole season. Whatever the results at the end of this season will be I think the best solution to the issue of managers would be making him the 2nd in command of a decorated manager with good vision from the Continent such as B. Dortmund's Klopp; or better yet Pep, but in this case we'll probably have to wait for at least a year.

Just providing the motivation & belief in the players was enough to get that draw. Plus he outwitted Pep & Pep couldn't handle it, so he quit. IMHO RDM is DA MAN & we should reward him. Hell I saw Mr. Abramovich in the stands today smiling & giving hi-fives. I have never seen him soo animated. I think he likes RDM too. But the question is: is RDM good enough to build a new team, to create a new winning philosophy? I'm not sure about it. Only if we cant get a really good manager we should give him the job for one season.

LDN Blue 7,903
I urge you guys not to expect Robbie to be given the ropes. This club loves the 'big names' with the big expectations, with the false hopes of building a stable long-term base. In the end they won't last to see a second season.. Such is the status quo of Chelsea Football Club.
Justin_3d 1,140
After 16 games under Hiddink:W11 D4 L1Under RDM:W11 D4 L1Interim.Interesting and to be honest not surprise.I was expecting something a long the lines...I am still expecting the new manager effect to happen!RDM will do good in this short little time, and everyone will be saying he is the best thing to ever happen since slice bread! So this is why I think a note of caution is merited. For the job RDM did likewise Hiddink, they deserved at least another year.We should NOT give RDM a 10 year contract. He needs to be tested in one full season. Especially the mid season where most managers tend to get sack because of their lackluster display. If our board is smart enough they will do what Pep did with Barcelona. Keep giving him one year contract till he decides to do something else. One year contract might be the best option for right now.

It's like they actually enjoy compensation pay outs more than titles, lmao.

Arief 40
he definitely deserves the job with chelsea.Even people says that AVB deserves another year and AVB seriously was a big mess, why on earth that roman still want to bring another manager to Chelsea if RDM can bring the stabilty with the old player?Imagine if he can buy his favourite player who really can fit with RDM tactics. That's gonna be epic.
