capriccioso 2,545
I wonder if Marin was a RDM signing?Marin said he spoke with RDM, he liked his style of playing with wingers, and Gourlay said RDM had some inputs in our target.I don't see it with Hazard cause that's been our target way before RDM and AVB, but Marin came out of the blue, and me thinks it was a RDM suggestion! No. Every single signing made by the club since Grant was sacked was made by the Director of Football. The manager basically recommends a position, or if he's lucky, a specific player, the DoF signs him. Ancelotti probably told the DoF in January 2011 that he wanted a striker... little did he know that would be Torres. This is fucking great news. Bye bye Pep, stick your 2-3-5 up your arse. capriccioso 2,545
Hazard did speak w/ RDM before he signed w/ CFC. FACT!!!Speaking is different to signing them. Perhaps Emenalo trusts Di Matteo more than (was it Arnesen in 2009-11?) trusted Ancelotti.

silkycuts 19
I think the underlyimg concern from the board and some of the fans is simpley the "Anti-football" style that chelsea adopted during some of the last games. I personally think RDM had no choice but to play that way... i..e sacrifice winning for style. I remember his WBA team playing some lovley attacking football in the begining of his tenure there. So I beleive he can do the same with the blues... I personaly am totally behind our European Champion manager.
capriccioso 2,545
We all should be behind him. Except for the glory hunters we may have picked up in the last month or so.What's funny is that a lot of rival supporters think he's rubbish and that the team managed itself. Clearly John Terry (who's their answer to every Chelsea 'conspiracy'), with no qualifications and not noted for his intelligence is a better manager than Di Matteo
Kojo 4,676
Gotta give him a change. But the most important reason why he might succeed is the playernow has to act!. They gotta prove that Boas was the main reason for there failure.I get it now... it was all because of you!, YOU WHERE THE ONE!. YOU KEPT THE FAITH IN RDM!, IT WAS YOU HENRI!.HE PROVED BAOS HE WAS THE MAIN FAILURE, LONG LIVE HENRI!, LONG LIVE THE KING!.
Henrique 9,133
RDM had no choice but play his "anti-football", against Barcelona, because they were so good, and against Bayern because we had so many problems in the squad. But, if he keeps playing like that in big matches, then he must get the axe, and and I will be the first to ask for that, as usual. Zone 290
Congrats to Di Matteo he absolutely deserved it. Someone mentioned it already but i'm hoping that our play against top teams will improve significantly.
Kojo 4,676
Our record against top teams was shocking last season in the Premier League, did you know we only won one big team once, Man City at the Bridge.
ChelseaChick 430
After this season I said I didn't want RDM to stay on, he did so well and I just didn't want him being sacked if things don't go his way this season. But to be honest, I'm absolutely delighted that he's the new permanent manger, he does deserve it. I don't think there was anyone better out there at the moment, no way did I want the Barca meltdown Pep, let em sleep.
