Ollie 4,400
He has Chelsea in his heart and if you have the team in your heart, it surely makes it easier. He had the respect before he got the job. It seems like only yesterday seeing Robbie represent us as a player with those strikes against Boro, Arsenal, Villa etc and how sad i was when he broke his leg in Switzerland in the Uefa Cup. Now he's back managing us it like a fairly tale. 3 played, 3 wins, FA Cup quarter finalists and UCL quarter finalists. I know the dream will end because we're Chelsea, we'll probably go on to lose at home to Leicester, come 5th and sack Robbie but i'm gonna enjoy Robbie's blues while it lasts. Oooh Robbie we love you.

bluephoenix 1,131
Just came to praise Chelsea for their well earn victory...even if they got eliminated I would still applauded them. But also came back to point at this, the new manager effect. It happens all the time, which is why the Hiddink time gets distorted way out by many people here as they fail to take that into their equations. Look at Martin, he had the same effect, and now it's getting harder for him. your logic is flawed ... that never happened when AVB was appointed (NO OFFENSE)

Ben. 57
3 Games since RDM was apointed as our main leader and all 3 have been wins, a postive sign of things to come? Possibly. If he holds out well for the rest of the season, I don't see why we shouldn't give him a run as full-time manager next season.

Justin_3d 1,140
uhm ..... even if that's the case ... enjoy while it lasts AVB problem was that, not getting the players behind him.He will learn a lot from this experience.RDM has done good picking up where AVB fail. That being said, I don't think RDM is a top manager like others out there, but the fact that he represents Chelsea allows me to give him more slack then any other managers in the past, and I hope Roman sees this as well.Besides under the Bates time we actually did good with players to coach! Who's to say it can't happen with RDM? :blue scalf:
capriccioso 2,545
Thats great and all but he's not untouchable. If he dicks around with the senior players he'll be shafted and get the sack, should he retain the job next season.

But the thing I am happy about is for now he has the players backing and the players are willing to work/give their best for him, never really followed him while he was at WBA . CHOULO19 24,332
"It was a fantastic game to watch as well with two great football teams on the pitch," Di Matteo said. "I think we made history tonight, as we were in such a difficult position before the game and we knew it would take a lot to go through.""The performance of this whole team tonight was just outstanding," he added. "It's not just the senior players, but the collective performance of the whole team."The senior players put their experience on the pitch, as they are used to playing this type of game. David Luiz couldn't walk at the end and John Terry had cramp, everybody was just incredible tonight."For the club, you know, it meant a lot. To still be able to play in the Champions League, and also you could see how much it meant to the players."I think everybody was very happy and delighted that we managed to stay in the Champions League after putting on such a big performance tonight. I've had some great nights, I have to say, but I think it will probably go down in the club's history."To have come back from a two-goal deficit from the first leg and you saw the players tonight, how they performed. They showed passion, that they care about the team, the club, the supporters. We gave us a big boost going forward.""The home advantage was on our side tonight," Di Matteo said. "Napoli are probably stronger at home than away from home, even though they are very dangerous with the transition. I think our supporters helped us win the game tonight as well and we just tried to go back to basics."We tried to be solid, not concede goals and we're always confident in the quality we have in the team to score goals ourselves. Every win will increase the confidence of the team."We needed to find that team spirit tonight. We needed to play as a group and sacrifice ourselves."For me, in my position at the moment, I am just trying to win match after match so what happens after is not important. I am just focused on the games now."I don't really think about myself. I am just focused on trying to win games for Chelsea Football Club and trying to get the best out of the players."We have got three wins in three games now, conceded one goal, scored seven, and that is all my mind is focused on."http://soccernet.esp...history?cc=4716
