capriccioso 2,545
Fabio Capello reckons he would have done better than Hodgson in EURO 2012. I believe so too, he did well in the qualifiers and was finally getting his team together but the FA are a bunch of brainless douches. :/Okay, so Hodgson needs to start preparing his team for 2014 World Cup; bring in more younger lads and play PROPER ATTACKING FOOTBALL. Base it on possession. Also, play this team against Italy in August: The players in brackets are for substitutions.Rooney (Defoe)Chamberlain (A. Young) - Carroll (Welbeck) - A. Johnson (Walcott)Lampard (Rodwell) - Parker (Barry)Cole (Bertrand) - Cahill (M. Dawson) - Terry (Jagieka) - Jones (Smalling)Hart (Butland)The current crop of English players won't go too far with an attacking style. The gap between England and the best teams is too large, it would be more sensible to sit deep and counter attack. You can turn up the flair when you're hosting San Marino; not when you're in the World Cup knockout rounds against Germany.
