blue_army 2
As soon as it goes to pens i expect us to loose now ... 1 win in 11 odd years what more can you expect and i have been at every shoot out we have had in that time
Laylabelle 9,534
We have little luck simple as...but hey we won that Man U one so we won one...and we'll win another..in 11 years
Rambo 1,729
I guess it's the just pressure? We have such good penalty takers that it gets to our head.
flamiejamie 0
By that statistic we have four more penalties to lose before we win another. Hopefully that win will fall at a special moment in the Champions League. What a shame. We have Ballack, Drogba, Lampard... do either of these guys ever miss? Although Ballack missed yesterday. It's just our lot in life!
Term-X 7,891
as soon as kakuta stepped up to take that peno i knew he would miss.
Steve 10,227
Does anyone think cech can be at fault sometimes aswell? Before our last few penalty shoot outs he hardly ever saved a penalty, maybe he has been working on reading the player. Aesthetic Relic 301
Although penalty taking is a skill, there's a fair bit of luck involved too.I'm not that fussed on how many we've lost in the past, the most important thing is the next one. How many of you thought Ballack would miss his penalty ?Its just one of those things. If its not right in the corner the keeper always has a chance of saving it. BlueLion. 21,491
At the end of the day, that save from Ballack by Robinson was absolutely outstanding.

Laylabelle 9,534
But sometimes you can tell whose gana miss/score.The way they walk up to it and allYeh I remember saying against Burnley we'll be ok Carlo good at saving..then we went out..but he did make a save we just took them kinda shit..as usual

I certainly can't fault him at all, from what i've seen so far this season. Edited December 4, 2009 by Blueray
