CHOULO19 24,332
Well Mourinho certainly thought he was ready, so what you or I feel is moot.Anyway this'll just keep going around in circles like the Mourinho thread so let's end it here. No, what matter is what actually happened and we all saw not what was said a year and half ago. Jose said he was ready which is very different from thinking he was ready which in retrospective he obviously was not.

OneMoSalah 9,098
Hes a good player but I can't believe Jose thought he'd be ready after one season on loan last year.Hes not at Chelsea quality yet and he still needs another loan spell where he will play at least 60 or 70% of the games as opposed to sitting on the bench at a club that will get relegated then needs to have his situation re-evaluated again. I'd rather have seen him playing at a club like Watford again or Reading or Cardiff - someone who's challenging for promotion or even just a mid table club as opposed to trying to avoid relegation in the PL which usually prompts managers to go for more experienced players. Madmax 9,219
You're saying it's news to you that he lies? Call me naive but I honestly lapped it up whenever he talked about the youth. Once bitten, twice shy now though.

The Skipper 20,609
Does anyone know exactly what's going to happen with Nat? I feel like (and hope) he should stay and train with the first team. He would make a brilliant Matic understudy.
The Skipper 20,609
"Ryan Mason was on loan at Swindon last year. Quite a similar player to Swift. Proves League 1 to PL jump can be done... if club want it."Also a valid point I found on Twitter. Reddish-Blue and nyikolajevics

Madmax 9,219
Bertrand didn't look too good in an abysmal Villa side either ... and that's a guy who's played a ridiculous number of professional career games. Look at him now. The Skipper and Reddish-Blue

Recent examples? Harry Kane, Ryan Mason at Tottenham. Ross Barkley, our own Bertrand all weren't that impressive during some of their loan spells. It happens. Chalobah IMO has shown enough to warrant a chance to be part of the first team squad. killer1257 and Reddish-Blue
CHOULO19 24,332
Choulo is of the opinion that Chalobah's loan spell at Watford was very overrated but almost every single Watford fan I know, and my self included, rates the kid very highly and I personally truly believe that after watching him come up the youth ranks and his loan spell at Watford and Boro to a certain extent where he was pretty decent as well - all the kid needs is a chance here.I think it's overrated not because he didn't have an incredible spell for his age, but because people were saying that he was already better than Mikel and Ramires and should be in the England squad for the 2014 WC! (Good ol' Blue Daze! ).In fact, go back in this very same thread, and you can see that I was one the people most excited about this, always reporting on the games I watch and going to watford forums to find what their fans are saying about Nathanial and post it here.
