BlueLion. 21,491
Chelsea vs FC Portov Michael Ballack scored the winner the last time these sides met. UCL, Tuesday 15 September 09, 1945 KO, Stamford BridgeChelsea's flawless record thus far this season will be put to the test in a potentially difficult home match with Portuguese champions FC Porto, who are unbeaten in the Liga Sagres. The last time these two teams met in the Champions League, Michael Ballack's volley gave Chelsea a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge and a 3-2 aggregate victory over the Portuguese side, whilst the Blues also beat Porto 3-1 in the group stages of the competition in 2004.Match chat here - C'MON THE BLUES! Wxgba 306
Will be yet another challenging game, especially after a physical game against Stoke at the weekend. Think we'll come out on top, though, with us being at home. Chelsea 2-0 Porto.

the wes 7,212
it would be nice to see Daniel Sturridge replace Drogba but think it will be Kalou and i guess Ivanović will replace bosingwa .............

Term-X 7,891
devastated when watching the champions league draws and seeing porto's name with us againvery boring fixture especially when you consider we could of had REAL MADRID or AC MILANon the up side the athletico game should be slightly mouthwatering. Gianfranco_Z 202
If we stay awake then we can comftorably win, remember what they did to Man U last season, they have potential to cause us problems but nothing should happen if we stick to our game, 3-0 Chelsea :blue scalf:

chrismada9 1,948
Tough opening game, but apart from Chelsea's home draw against Rosenborg in 2007, we've never dropped points in an opening matchday, so I'm a little confident, but Porto are a strong team, it won't be a goalfest.Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Porto

BlueLion. 21,491
Porto no longer have Lisandro, Cissokho and Lucho, they're nowhere near as strong as they were last season.
middleoftheshed 388
I know theres a lot of people boycotting the CL games but thats the opposite of what we should be doing. The biggest up yours would be to lift that trophy in May.Just remember to bring your best booooooooos for the uefa anthem.
Mellars 0
Porto no longer have Lisandro, Cissokho and Lucho, they're nowhere near as strong as they were last season.Cissokho was only at Porto for half a year and he's been effectively replaced by Alvaro Pereira. They signed Falcao to replace Lisandro and he already has a much better goalscoring record than Lisandro had. I'd agree about their midfield though, Belluschi hasn't settled in yet an Lucho was a very important player. Still, Porto are no pushovers, it's smart to underestimate them, especially when we can't count on Drogba.
Aesthetic Relic 301
Its good to be back.I dont agree that folk should be boycotting the Champions League games. We should be standing tall and getting right behind the team in defiance of UEFA/FIFA.No-one likes us....we dont care :blue scalf:
