Pirlo is 30, it's just a big f***ing waste of money and he can't even replace anybody cuz hes not good enough thought.

If Chelsea should buy a midfielder, wait untill Lampard quits :( and so Deco and then buy a type like Xavi or Fabregas.

We got to get young blood, we cant play with the whole team over 29 y old.

We got to get young talents.

What would Ronaldo be if Man utd didnt buy him at that age and let him play?

We cant just buy the talents when they are 25, we got to develop some players by ourselfs. :)

Reports emerged earlier on Friday that Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo had said his goodbyes to his team-mates, as he could be on the verge of joining former coach Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea.

The news has not been confirmed by either club, so Italian news agency ilsussidiario.net contacted the head of the Chelsea press office, Steve Atkins, who claimed that no move has been made for the 2006 World Cup winner.

"There is nothing official here. This news is not on everyone's lips," was his response.

It remains to be seen if a move for the Italian international playmaker will materialise or not. The press in both Italy and England continue to suggest the teams are in negotiations.

The Premier League giants supposedly saw a €14.5 million bid, which also included the services of Claudio Pizarro and the loan of Michael Mancienne, rejected earlier this week.

Pirlo has been with the Rossoneri since 2001, making over 320 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Andrea Pirlo is just a signature away from becoming a Chelsea player after agreeing personal terms with the Premier League side.

According to Milan-based paper Il Giornale, the Italian international has been offered a four-year deal worth €6 million-per-season - the same amount he earns with the Rossoneri.

Roman Abramovich will also pay Milan between €18m and €20m for the player, who is dearly wanted by Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.

A move has been propelled forward rapidly after the player's agent, Tulio Tinti, flew to London late on Friday night.

Tinti is in the capital to tie up the deal. Pirlo is then expected to fly to England on Monday morning, leaving his Milan team-mates behind at Milanello.

On Friday evening, Chelsea's press officer, Steve Atkins, claimed there was "nothing official" when asked about the speculation surrounding the Italian ace.

Despite the report from Il Giornale, neither Pirlo nor Milan have made a comment just yet.

Seems odd to me Pirlo would accept accept a deal like this as UK taxation would turn this into an effective pay cut for him.

Milan To Consider Real Madrid's Wesley Sneijder If Andrea Pirlo Joins Chelsea - Report

The Rossoneri have added Sneijder to their hit list if Andrea Pirlo joins Chelsea, according to reports...

Milan have laid eyes on Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder as an alternative to Andrea Pirlo, should he leave for Chelsea.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Rossoneri have already rejected an offer from the Blues for the Italian play-maker.

It is said the Via Turati club rebuffed an offer of €8million plus Claudio Pizarro last week, despite Milan dignitary Adriano Galliani claiming he had never received an offer from west London on Wednesday.

"Pirlo? We have never had an offer made to us," Galliani told the press.

Milan are still keen on strengthening this summer as they have not had the best of pre-seasons with the players currently at their disposal.

Voices claim Sneijder will be on the market as Real move closer to signing Xabi Alonso from Liverpool. It is said the Netherlands international will be the replacement for Pirlo if Chelsea convince Milan to sell up.

OH MY GOD!!!

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi insists Andrea Pirlo is not on the verge of signing for Chelsea.

The Italy midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea ever since the arrival of former Rossoneri coach Carlo Ancelotti to the London club and reports suggest Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, who is also said to be preparing a bid to buy the Serie A club, is in London to discuss the deal.

"They are all stories, there's no truth at all," Berlusconi told reporters. "I don't know anything, I haven't talked to Galliani: I also learnt this from journalists and I was surprised."

Apparently its official we offered 8 million euros and Pizarro. They have rejected it but are clearly looking to do the deal for more money. I guess we'll end up signing him for some stupid number. Poor Mikel.

Seriously when it comes to summer transfers lately, we are a fucking joke!

All we're ever interested in is old men and has beens. Never any good players in their prime!! Seriously, if we sign Pirlo and let Sneijder pass, I will be fucking pissed off!!

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani says Chelsea's offer for Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo is too low for them to consider.

Pirlo, 30, is being pursued by Chelsea, who have reportedly offered about £6.75m plus striker Claudio Pizarro.

"At this price Pirlo is not for sale," Galliani told Italy's Sky television."

Meanwhile, a Salomon Kalou goal and an Alex Pearce own goal earned Chelsea a 2-2 draw at Reading after they had been 2-0 down with a minute left to play.

Carlo Ancelotti fielded a strong Blues side for their final pre-season match, but the new Chelsea coach is keen to bring in Pirlo, who he convinced to join AC from Milan rivals Inter in 2001, to his squad.

606: DEBATE

Still not sure if I want this deal to happen or not, but losing Pizarro is a plus I think - throw in Sheva too!

Pirlo is a dead-ball specialist who has helped Milan win one Serie A title and two Champions League crowns. The playmaker was also in Italy's 2006 World Cup winning squad.

If Ancelotti gets his man, Pirlo will become the club's fourth signing of the summer, following Yuri Zhirkov, Daniel Sturridge and Ross Turnbull to Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Milan have joined Tottenham in expressing their interest in Real Madrid striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

The Dutchman had been set for a move to German side Stuttgart last week but that fell through due to his wage demands.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp said last week that he was interested in the 25-year-old striker, although any move for Huntelaar would be dependant on Darren Bent's transfer to Sunderland going through.
