The luiz signing is too add to the strenth of the back line and as Luiz wont be eligible for the CL it dont seem to make any sense.

The only way i can think off is if Kjear is coming in aswell but even then selling Alex is NOT the answer.

He is really an injury prone player, so he isn't reliable. So I would understand our board on this matter. Plus like TX said, I doubt he will want to be behind Luiz (of course if Luiz comes), and maybe even behind Ivanovic, in the picking order.

I'd be happier for Alex to go elsewhere if he is just going to sit on the bench here. He's a great player and he deserves it. But it's up to him.

If the story's about Luiz are true, then Alex will have to make a decision. Because I doubt Bosingwa is going anywhere, for Ivanovic to become a permanent right back. Bruma is unlikely to be relegated from sub to no games at all. I'd love Alex to stay though, the defence would only be mildly effected by one of them getting injured.
