Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has played down speculation linking him with a January transfer window switch to Chelsea.

The 21-year-old is reportedly wanted by Carlo Ancelottispacer.gif and the Blues were said to be eyeing up a move for the Argentina international.

But Aguerospacer.gif - who came off the bench to bag a brace against Chelsea in a UEFA Champions League Group D clash earlier this season - has rubbished reports of a move and reaffirmed his commitment to the Spanish club.

He told Atletico's official website: "I have always made my commitment to Atletico clear and the whole world knows it.

This is all a set-up so he can go to Manchester City

think about it, Robinho is likely to be sold, Chelsea transfer ban will be active when the summer begins, Aguero is City's replacement for Robinho

A player like Aguero is definately the sort of player we should be looking to sign, a player who will be a huge star in world football. I can't see it happening in this window and who knows if we will sign him, but i for one would be very excited if we did sign him.

At the end of the day if do not sign Aguero there is better potential out there. Players like Pato are younger and have time on there contracts with there current clubs. So even after the ban is lifted we have other possible young targets out there later on.

For now i would prefer us to wait and let us play Sturridge and Borini alongside anelka and see how they go. Sturridge did really well after watching the watford game. Same goes with Fabio, they both showed alot of potential and also alot of heart to prove themselves to Carlo.

After Drogba and Anelka start losing form and not able to do what they are doing for us now i think we will sign someone than but until that time happens i think our squad is more than capable to cope.

Signing Aguero will be good. But that will be a big let down for Borini and Sturridge. May be when we decide to sell Anelka.....

As much as I would like to see Aguero, I'm certain Anelka will be offered a contract extension this season.

Spanish side Atletico Madrid have offered Chelsea Argentine striker Sergio Aguero for £30million, according to a report in the Sunday Express this morning.

Atletico will sell Aguero to Chelsea on the provision that the Premier League leaders will loan back the 21-year-old for the rest of the campaign.

Chelsea have long been linked with Aguero, despite the fact manager Carlo Ancelotti claimed he would not sign anyone in the January transfer window.

Besides Aguero, Chelsea have also been linked with Edin Dezko, Emile Heskey, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Kevin Kuranyi in recent weeks.

Sergio Aguero has scored 12 goals in 22 appearances for Atletico Madrid this season, his latest strike came in Atletico Madrid ’s 4-0 win over Valladolid last night and can be seen on the video below

Jesus Christ I'm sick of the sight of him now, one minute he and the club says his not coming and the next they seem to tease us by saying he is either available or would like to go to Chelsea. Can he just say yes and no, and if his says no then finally fuck off and we never see his stupid arse again...

Unless he goes to another English club %28N%29.gif
