warnie_666 1,081
Whats the point of sacking the manager, just another backwards step, he needs time to mould the players and build his own squad, hes got a few of his own players but this is largely Grants/Joses squad. Mould players? You think that will stop the goals from set peices? You think having no men at far post wil work if he moulds them? The midfield is Jam Packed so much so that they end up coliding with each other. He needs to play a more exapnsive game. At the moment his game is a cautious one. And what time he needs...? Even Avram did a better job taking on Jose's squad in the middle of the season whereas Scolari had the squad since June. At the moment. WE ARE SITTING DUCKS when it comes to Set peices. diskoviolente 425
A total rebuild was the first thing that came to my mind after the match. But i just don´t know how this might work... Who to replace, who to keep, who should do the rebuild ?
Aesthetic Relic 301
Just thinking back....... Do you realise our best chance of a goal was an effort by Drogba that went out for a throw in? Thats how bad we were. If I dont laugh I'll cry.
Laylabelle 9,535
Its just a simple case of for every set piece making sure we have someone on the post!! That'd solve that problem!!! We play Stoke sat and they have evil throw ins that will prob go in if we dont mark!!!So that be more points dropped! Just arg!!So Simple and yet....not done!!!!!! 'I dont beleive' well start fucking believing!! Edited January 11, 2009 by Laylabelle

Who to replace, who to keep, who should do the rebuild ? Overhaul the Squad .......No!!! Offload the old legs: Ballack ( looked so old and retired today) Drogba Malouda That is it. Deco should be given another season. Get in Robinho and another Winger. That solves it. We will have Essien back anyways.

misschief 24
Investment is what we need now! We need to really rebuild now. Is Scolari going to stay past 3 seasons? If not then may be we should look at a FULL rebuild for the future. We need young hungry players, we have some in our own bloody house that are never played, Mancienne, Di Santo, Sinclair, Stoch, Bertrand. Would any of those youngsters serve up anything worse than the dross we are watching at the moment? Scolari only signed for two years anyway, he never planned to stay and his whole demeanour and attitude dont suggest anything different. I'd go for the younger players option. A couple of quiet seasons won't do us any harm - we're getting used to not winning stuff now anyway - so I'd do what Fergie did. We might not like him, but he knows his stuff. Bring through young players and be patient for a couple of years while they develop into a title winning side. Of course we can still have a few experienced players, just not a side full of ageing fuckers whose fires have all gone out.
Ollie 4,400
what a change 2 years has made lol. i wont say much because theres no need, just that this was the most embarrassing thing ive seen. Its against man utd, a game where theres no excuses if your not up for it. Old trafford, 80,000 fans, playing the team that screwed us in that UCL final, revenge....you're playing MANCHESTER UNITED FOR FUCK SAKE!! Just cant believe what i just watched. I dunno whats happening i really dont. i dont even know 1 play that played well. We couldve lost 5-0 today with no complaints. Laylabelle 9,535
We seem set to be breaking the trend of Barca top/win their league we win ours And just to make it all complete aww day Graeme Le Saux got voted off If we have worked on set piece defending then that is really worrying as we are shit! carefreeluke 27
Man United's tactics and team selection was spot on ours wasn't. The tactics and which Scolari is setting out the team to play is not working simple as........All of the goals we have conceded in the last five games have came from set plays....didn't we work on defending set plays in training? Isnt it obvious?
warnie_666 1,081
Being Optimistic amidst all the Grim and Dour posts. Last season we were third at this stage 6 points behind Arsenal and 4 points behind Manchester UTD. Only difference was, 1. Last season we were a fighting, relentless efficient team 2. Last season we had not lost at home to any teams, we had our record intact. 3. We were beating the mid table teams and at around this stage were in the midst of a 9 consecutive wins streak. We are no more the same team. But I hope we can raise our Rich Fat arses from this defeat and kick some Ass from now on.

Elliott 7
I wasnt at all surprised by this result. We aren't good enough to win the title. You get laughed at for being negative because of our good position in the channel, but that's just luck really. We clearly aren't going to win it now. Manchester United will start an enormous run of form from this result, how could they not? Today we got completely outclassed, not only a lesson in skill and a lesson in tactics, but a lesson in heart and effort. It could have been 6-0, and nobody could have said that was harsh if it happened. It was a terrible performance, but it was coming. It's no different a performance from any other game we've played in the last two months, its just that since Roma we haven't played a good team. Scolari not putting men on posts is amateurish, constantly playing Deco out of position to play him is infuriating. Our defence just can't cut it in the air any more, Drogba has been sussed, Anelka can't do it against the big teams, and the whole squad is lacking in confidence. Crunch game now on Wednesday at Roots Hall. Lose that and we lose all hope of a trophy.

Fulham Broadway 17,314
Its hard not to be negative when you're witnessing the implosion of a great team slowly being dismantled. The management isnt right, there is no hunger desire of cohesive effort. We have some great players , are second, and through to the next round of the CL. Will probably batter Southend on Wednesday as well. What is frustrating is the knowledge that these great players can produce a lot better ....and the worst thing is Yernited werent that good. zinctek 469
i dont know why L.F.S doesnt read the forums on the net because we all know what he is doing wrong. 1) Deco back in to his Position ( he pld well when he was ther for 3 games ) 2) Anelka cant do it vs big clubs he isnt a good forward 3) Drobga hasnt got it in him no more he doesnt want to play for Chelsea you can see that 4) Joe Cole, He plays his heart out most games let him play 90mins or i can see him going he doesnt get a good run of games 5) Get someone on that post at set plays and keep them there A.COLE did that at aresnal and did it very well! 6) get rid of some old players like ballack i dont think a few midfield players can cut it no more in the Prem League 7) we sold our bench, Like someone just said above look at our subs we have no more to change the game! get some young players starting games and if they dont work out after 60 or 70mins bring the likes of ballack or deco or belleiti on. 8) A.Cole - J.Cole - J.T - Lampard, Cech seem to be the only players who are fighting, the rest dont look arsed 9) same as above get some new forwards in even if they are 5mil signings someone who would be provde to play for Chelsea or if not get di santo on and give him a run of 2 or 3 games we are not gonna win the league now so lets just see how they play and hope for 2nd or 3rd place to get cham league cus we dont want 4tj we wll have to play to get in to the champs league then and get players injuried. 10) READ THESE POSTS L.F.S
