If lampard does take over it will be interesting to see where he will put jorginho in the line up if he plays the 4-3-3 formation

I think we will play 4-2-3-1 with Jorginho-Kante double pivot.

Azpi-- Luiz--Rüdi--Emerson

--------Kante---Jorginho------

Pulisic------RLC------CHO----

-------------Giroud----------------

with everyone fit. A bit of a meh side. would be more interesting with Reece james for Azpi and Tammy for Giroud but quality stay same. Maybe some returning loanees can make an impresion. The new manager for sure has a huge roster to pick from

If Emerson is doing good then he wont utilize him, not unless its 343 where he shines or used to anyway.

I'll promise you this: If he fails top 4, he's going.

I doubt it. We showed unprecedented patience with Mourinho, Sarri and to an extent Conte. Lampard will be given even more leeway because sacking him for something petty would permanently turn the fans, plus I know the board are dumb in football matters but I do trust them to acknowledge that top 4 under current circumstances would be a bonus, not a do-or-die target. If we don't completely implode, I think he will get a long-term opportunity with Jody to slowly and patiently grow with us.

Them managers hada transfer window lamps doesn't its a hard ask from the board to ask lamps to do that with no with transfer window but our board  are ruthless when it comes to sacking managers

This. If we don't qualify for the Champions League but show progress with the playing style, playing squad etc, I doubt the board will just sack Lampard and start over again. Like you alluded to, they might not be the brightest of people but even they can't be that dumb to turn this job into 'get Champions League or you're fired' thing. No one is going to take up the job in the future if we go down that road.

Lampard shouldn't even accept the job if those are the expectations. We barely managed Top 4 with Hazard and now we are without him, have a transfer ban, and our rivals strengthening.

So unrealistic.

I wouldnt rule out top 4 tho nobody thought Leicester would win the league as Jimmy greaves said football is a funny old game

Me i'm I want him here,he'll do his best with what is on hand.

There are sinister ppl around who would like to see him fail if he is appointed just to make them feel good that they were right.

C'mon now, let's not rewrite history and and say the failure to get top 4 was the reason they got fired. Mourinho created a ridiculous toxic atmosphere in 2015/16 (even took us to near the relegation zone!) and so did Conte to a lesser extent in 2017/18 (he practically "sacked" himself after December 2017). Results weren't great but they forged an environment that was difficult to work in, play with. How could we have continued with them?

Not that I'm optimistic myself but not sure why everyone is all doom and gloom over the top 4 right now. The season hasn't even started and we don't even know what's going to happen. We don't even know if Arsenal, United are going to improve significantly for next season. Arsenal don't seem capable of attracting top players and Lacazette/Aubameyang can only take them so far while United look like they might take the youth route under Solskjaer judging by stories of his transfer targets.

I’m not rewriting history. Yes there were other factors in their sacking, but them NOT getting top 4 is one of the reasons why they got sacked.
Mourinho, 1 point above relegation zone isn’t going to get us up to top 4 isn’t he?
Conte, finished 5th regardless of the drama.

It may be one of the reasons but it's certainly not the deciding reason. Doubt Conte would have been sacked if he hadn't "done so" himself and with Mourinho, there was no other choice when you look at the way he was dragging us down.
