Kezza 1,965
I hope his replacement is not leftfooted! Really, why leftfooted players can not do anything with their right foot?! same for Mata, Sturridge and Lukaku! but on the other hand look at Drogba at 34 he smashes the ball with his left foot like he is natural leftfooty at Semi against Spurs! From now on we should invest in right footed players only! Superblue 6,372
So true. I had a chat with my PE teacher few days ago and we both agreed that majority of left-footed players can't use their right leg to save their lives, whereas right-footed players can kill with their left. I'm sure it has to do with majority of players being right-footed, but still, you won't find many left-footed players having a good right.Obviously not at professional standard but i was left footed growing up. My football coach abd dad both pushed me to use my weaker right foot as much as possible and now i feel comfortable with both feet.If i'm striking a ball with power such as shooting or a long pass i still prefer to use my left but if i'm playing a short pass i actually prefer my right! Weird that!

Weird that! It's a weird situation. Can't remember any left-footed Chelsea player with good right foot. And even if someone calls Messi into debate, show me goals from outside the box he scored with his right. If there are any goals he scored from outside. Blue Traveler 256
I'm agree with Manuf. just too rare! When i see him in action it's obvious he is not comfortable with his right unlike Drogba or Lampard whos i saw do odd things with their left! Beigl 1,387
I think Malouda should leave Chelsea, because he isn´t that creative player like two years ago,the other thing is that he is too slow for a winger.Maybe Anzhi or PSG make an offer... No. Which is why we call his right foot his weaker foot.Look, I don't expect him to be a two-footed player like the Brazilian Socrates, but I know he's not totally useless with his right like most people here would imagine. Superblue 6,372
The only reason I can see Malouda staying is that the club plan to loan out De Bruyne next season. Malouda has already spent this season largely marginalised and would expect to next season also. He would provide an experienced backup option.Whereas De Bruyne would benefit from football next season in a stronger league, to hopefully improve ready to come back the following season. I just wonder if he'll perhaps be used as a bargaining chip with teams for a player like Hazard, Hulk or Kagawa?!However if this was the club's plan, I don't know why they don't sell Malouda and get some money for him. Offer Kalou a new contract and then move him on in a season or two when De Bruyne is ready, and also get some money for him too. Otherwise this way they will simply let Kalou and Malouda leave on free transfers at the end of their contracts. capriccioso
