CHOULO19 24,332
He's had six shots on target if memory serves... quite possible! Just checked, both Squawka and ESPN have him on just 4. Can't imagine it's true if that is the case. kellzfresh

Wouldn't be surprised if he's the most (on and off combined) now. Just hope he doesn't get carried away with attacking and gets caught out at the back. Obviously his two goals, then his header and pile-driver against Leicester, that's the four then. I thought he had a couple more. Oh well. If he is "only" on four then he definitely isn't at the top as Costa has had five and scored four of them (the only "miss" being the save by Howard's feet when one-on-one). I distinctively remember him having a header on target from a corner against Burnley. Which means that he's definitely had more than 4. I never trust those stats. LayZ 201
He started last season brilliantly and look what happened... I hope the genuine competition he has this season helps maintain these performances. And the season before,he gets bored in summer and always starts like a beast.. CHOULO19 24,332
He might not have scored or assisted today, but for me this was his best match for us so far this season.
Madmax 9,219
This is how genuinely professional footballers at top clubs react to the prospect of competition. Some others demand loans and moves back to a cushy environment. bababoom, Barbara, Bir_CFC and 1 other
Barbara 15,149
He continues to be impressive offensively after a few seasons of bad spells in the attacking half. And he's still solid as a rock defensively. If he carries on like that he will become (has been in those first weeks) the best FB in the world. bababoom

If anything, the only fault I can find is that he stays a bit too narrow and doesn't close the winger down fast enough sometimes. bababoom 4,478
Jose did say he wants to play a more expansive, attacking style of football. He's obviously told our fullbacks to push on forward and be more attack minded, at times last season our fullbacks wouldn't go past the half way line. Even Azpi looked dangerous at times going forward.Ivanovic this season has been amazing, i love how he's always in the box Barbara, Blue-in-me-Veins and kellzfresh
