even the numpty board cannot envision him as a true number 9 answer

Knowing how delusional some of our fanbase are I won't be surprised if the board hands Tammy 150 a week contract and say he is our main man the next 10 years with Zaha as cover.

I am going to wait to deliver my final judgement until after the summer window

but if we cock up January and then summer, and make other horrid moves (renewals of dregs and non sales, etc)

we are deffo headed into a downward spiral

other than Pulisc, atm we are fucked at winger unless CHO truly recovers (which, as much as some will poutrage over, is NOT guaranteed)

we are well and truly fucked at fullback if Reece goes down, the other 3 are either pure dregs, semi dregs, or rapidly ageing and soon completely shot at top 4 competitive level on a consistent basis

we are fucked at DMF if we refuse to correctly use Kante (who turns 30yo next season as well) our defence is FUCKED up because we get so overrun in MF and at the back and lack the quick breakup/turnover play we have feasted off of got the last 15 years on balance

IF RLC doesn't recover to sufficient level (a possibility) and Mount doesn't pan out, we are fucked at AMF, and TBH, we so lack creativity overall anyway

Other than Rudiger, we are hoping for potentiality at CB (Tomori and atm no one else), as Zouma and AC are simply never going to be true Chels quality

If Tammy goes down, we are WELL and truly fucked atm at CF (and yet some rant on that we can never have 2 class CF's, which is fucking madness and the path to doom)

finally, Kepa had best pull his head out of his arse

Tbf Tammy has outscored almost every CF weve been linked with. He deserves a new deal and I would imagine he will hit 20 goals this season.

If Tammy doesn't hit 20 this season that means he will only score 6 (or less) more goals in the next 25 or so games (could be more if we go deeper in the FA Cup and CL.)

Even if you are talking 20 league goals, a failure there to hit 20 means he scores 8 (or quite possibly less) in the next 21 EPL games.

IF those scenarios happen, forget top 7 (unless we somehow buy an ace striker in January who benches Tammy and/or a monster winger)

I would more worry about our wingers rather than Tammy. Tammy and Kova are the only guys who really impress me this season. Kante impresses me only in big Games and once in a while against the smaller Teams. The main Offensive Problem is Willian because he does not have World class dribbling nor shooting. Puli is fine. A little bit inconsistent, but I have seen enough Quality of him to see now that he has been a Great buy, which I really did not expect.

In a Perfect World, we would also have more creativity to make better passes to Tammy, who would even score more goals.

Let us see how RL comes back. If he is still the old Ruben, his comeback will be huge for us.

Had both Werner and Abraham in my FM20 Chelsea squad and both did well...
No Zouma and Willian and there's also Havertz, Ziyech (cc killer1257). [emoji14]
Nice squad. You even got Ziyech.

I hope you let James play instead of Azpi ^^

Report: Dortmund name price for Jadon Sancho

https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/12/report-dortmund-name-price-jadon-sancho/

England international Jadon Sancho has been THE talk of town in the footballing world, and he has quickly become a very sought after 19-year old.

There are a host of clubs who have been linked with making a move for Sancho in January, including Chelsea, with claims they are set to offer £100 million for his services.

However, according to former player turned Journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft, Dortmund will demand £127 million for Sancho, and will not sell him until the summer.

snip

150m euros

so if the pound tanks versus the euro, that £127m figure will increase

I said he would cost around £100m to the more likely amount £120m, so was not far off (on the high end, unfortunately)

I do not see the board dumping this type of cash out (hell I had doubts on my original figures)

there are probably only 5 possible clubs he will end up at

RM, Barca, Manure, Shitty, or PSG

the usual suspects

Chelsea 'launch Isco transfer offer' after making James Rodriguez decision

Chelsea have submitted a bid to Real Madrid for Spain international playmaker Isco, which meets Florentino Perez's summer asking price

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-launch-isco-transfer-offer-21131151

Chelsea have launched a mega-money bid for Real Madrid playmaker Isco, it has been claimed.

The 27-year-old has been in and out of the team since Zinedine Zidane return to the Bernabeu prompting Florentino Perez to look for a buyer.

A promising performance in last night’s El Clasico stalemate could earn Isco a stay of execution but the Premier League club have slapped an offer on Perez’s desk.

According to El Desmarque , Chelsea slapped in a £44.4m (€52m) offer for the Spain international on Monday.

Perez is considering the proposal despite it meeting the asking price he set for Isco in last summer’s transfer window.

we ¨would get one full sub 30yo season out of him

SMDH

I say hard pass, this is not a future-forward smart move

after David Silva leaves in 6 months, these are the only 30yo and over AMF's in the EPL

after them the next oldest are Roberto Pereyra, Marco Stiepermann, and De Bruyne at 28

Lamps spoke about replacing Hazard's goals and creativity and I see huge upgrade here:

              Abraham

  Pulisic    Mount   Willian

VS :

              Abraham

    Pulisic    Isco    Zaha

Obviously we are looking for more experienced players because we can't play only with kids upfront. Zaha and Isco are both 27 and can give us solid 3,4 seasons at the top level. Kovacic is born again at Chelsea and same can happen with Isco. RLC is injured all the time, Barkley is useless and it's going to be sold soon (should cover majority of Isco transfer) and Mount is not ready. I hope we go for Werner too.

Was bound to happen: Valencia draw exposes Isco’s inconsistency

https://footballbh.net/2019/12/17/valencia-draw-exposes-isco-inconsistent/

Isco has become an enigma in recent months and years. The Spaniard’s talent has never come under question at all. His performances have always been crucial to Real Madrid’s successes over the seasons, but things have been changing. The tides have been shifting and Isco is seemingly not as important as he once was. Last year’s time under Santiago Solari was not a pretty one. Under a manager who wanted tactical rigidity, Isco would never play regularly. For a player who likes to float about in the final third, it never worked in his favour.

Last season, he had only 11 starts to his name in the La Liga. He made only four appearances in the Champions League too, and he had a direct hand in just six goals in all competitions. That is never a pretty sight for a player like Isco. His inconsistencies can be highlighted by the recent showing against Valencia. Real were held to a 1-1 draw, as they couldn’t climb back up to the top of the La Liga. In the game, Isco was starting as the left-winger in a 4-3-3 shape.

And it was a poor showing by all means. The former Malaga sensation couldn’t create a single chance and couldn’t pick out a single key pass. He was dispossessed twice, getting dribbled past just as many times for the Mestalla-based side. Numbers like that are very rare for Isco. But it is in stark contrast to the Deportivo game. Real won 2-1 and Isco was crucial. He didn’t complete a single key-pass, but he had two successful dribbles and three tackles to his name. It wasn’t as poor a performance as the Valencia one.

He did well against Brugge as well. He completed one key pass, completing four dribbles as well. He won two tackles and made as many interceptions. It was a performance of promise. A one that somewhat showed some qualities that he has. Isco was never someone who would play too many key passes anyway. The highest number of key passes per game he played was in the 2013-14 campaign. That number stood at 2.2 back then. Since then, those numbers have been coming down and he has become more about quality than quantity of those creations.

Perhaps, it was bound to happen. Him playing as low as 0.9 key passes per game was coming if the downfall in productivity has to be traced. And he isn’t as good a player he has always been. Especially during those golden spells around 2016 and 2017. Times have been moving on. It can well be said that the game too is moving on from Isco. He was never a bundle of pace and neither was he too physical. The game has become quicker and more physical. And possibly, Isco hasn’t been up to that level.

So this was reported 15 days ago by the same newspaper in Spain which reported today we made an offer for Isco. I did a little research and El Desmarque is a most reliable source when it comes to Andalusia. Isco is from Andalusia and played for Malaga as well. They were the first one to break the story about Ceballos (another Andalusian who played for Real Madrid) joining Arsenal. So looks like this is true. Two weeks ago we spoke with Real and now we made an offer. Very hot!
