We're getting Werner or Dybala in the summer not that dud.

both are pipe dreams I fear

Dybala is not going to be sold and Werner is scouser scum bound IMHO

we will not drop the type of quid needed to prise Lautaro away (especially if we do drop 120, 130m quid on sancho)

unless we sell (we damn well should, but will not I wager) Kante

Icardi is 99% perm to PSG, and Gabriel Jesus will never be sold to us by Shitty thsi summer, UNLESS they go for Lautaro themselves

Mbappe is 10 pipe dreams rolled into one

Lewa is too old now

Håland will not move for a couple years (I am guessing summer 2021 or surely 2022)

Immobile will be 30 in a month and will not leave Lazio

Raúl Jiménez turns 30 next season

Rodrigo (Valencia) turns 30 next season

Belotti is a a crazy expensive dice roll and also doesn't want to leave Torino

other than pure youth plays/dice rolls like Osimhen, Donyell Malen, or Fydor Chalov etc

that leaves Dembele and Calvert-Lewin as the best available options (as even if we get Jovic and he is great, Real will so so snatch him right back, we are their damn feeder club it seems)

flip a coin

lolol

I like Dominic

wild card

Aleksandar Mitrovic

He is good in the air, just meant he was small which could be an issue in the PL otherwise yeah agreed.

he is basically 6 feet tall, an inch taller than Werner, only 1 cm shorter than Dembele

of the top EPL strikers

only Rashford (who is not a real number nine and is only an inch taller) Aubameyang (who is soon gone) Kane and Raúl Jiménez are taller (as is Tammy)

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is taller too

as is Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrović

the rest are shorter or dregs more or less

All that hype a month or two ago about us potentially bringing in as many as 4 players this window. Top players as well.

Nearly deadline day and we're likely to sign no one. We better have one hell of a summer window or our fans will go mad. Frank's job will actually be on the line next season unlike this one. So we damn sure better make signings that will at least let us compete for the title. Otherwise we would be hanging him out to dry.

I think it will still be a year too early for the title next season, Liverpool and City will still be that step ahead and the young boys will still be that little bit too young.

Comfortable top four will be the next natural step and one that should be made.

Calvert-Lewin needs to do far more for me first before we'd consider buying him, especially as Everton would ask big money for him.

It was only a couple of months ago before Ancelotti came in that Everton fans were calling for him to be dropped because he didn't score enough goals.

Have to be so careful this isn't just a purple patch of form. He does this consistently for the next 18 months and I think it should then be considered but at present I just think it's the wrong move to make.

if we literally do basically nothing this window

we are leaving an insane amount of work to do this summer

and relying on a huge amount of luck

Breakdown

GK- is Kepa going to rebound? Are we willing to eat a £60m to £70m pure loss on him PLUS bring another who will not come cheap? Also, Willy is 39 next season, we need a new backup very soon

CB ( are we just going to roll withur our 4 now plus maybe Guehi and/or the wayward Amapdu? We do not have a straight up WC CB atm. Do we need one now?

LB- FUCKING DISASTER and NOTHING DONE YET AGAIN, we didnt even try ffs. Chilwell is insane buy at £80m, and we may not even get him? I offer GREAT alternatives, all doable, and nothing from the fucking board. THIS position is the epitome of our cuntish cock-ups for ages.

RB I guess we are just going to grind Azpi into the ground and release him on a free in a few, thank fuck for Reece

DMF We have no real cruncher, only a DH DMF in Jorginho, we need to strengthen up here

CMF Kante needs to be sold THIS summer, whilst we can still get huge cash. He is misused here and is a very middling CMF in his role now. He overall hurts the time and it is NT fair TO HIM either. SELL

AMF We desperatelly need a creative AMF, desperately, GET ONE Grealish is fine by me, I rate him a lot, and there are others

Winger, we need TWO Sancho HAS HAS HAS o be one, IF we swing and miss on him we are FUCKED (as I really do not see us getting any of our oher big targets, if they (like Chilwell) are even worth it- Willian HAS to go, fuck renewing that fucker for close to 200K PW for two years! HELL NOW We just have to eat the entire £65m Marina IDIOTICALLY turned down. Fucking fool! (yes I am an ANGRY) The 2nd winger can even be Zaha (as long as a FAIT price) they are others as well who are fime

CF We are not getting Werner, I have went on and on about options, and it boils down to Dembele or Calvert-Lewin with a wild card play maybe maybe for Mitrovic

We simply HAVE to sell off most of the fucking deadwood as well

all in all

it is a MASSIVE ask for one window

and that is all saying basically no GK, no CB, no RB, no CMF (although it may be needed) work at all

even with none of those attempted

it still is a HUGE MUST DO LIST

2 LB's (INSANE we did not sell one and upgrade NOW, fuck fuck fuck), a DMF, 2 wingers, and 2 CF's (one is a 3rd stringer, easy to do, like Maja, etc)

even if you say (on top of all the rest of no-action areas) no 3rd CF

that still is SIX players desperately desperately needed, and WC players at some of those

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

especially if we do not sell Kante (which is going to potentially start a huge downward spiral financially (he rapidly loses value by 2021 and beyond and not having his sale revenue fucks us HARD if we do not make CL for next year) and performance-wise, as the team is worse with him jammed in, forced into a role he is crap at)

I can respect that opinion completely

so

that leaves Dembele or die

basically atm

(unless we stop-gap on old or damn-near old or roll dice on Mitrovic)

Lyon is going to RAPE us in the summer, especially if Dembele finishes off hot and then other clubs start a bidding war

would not be shocked to see us cough up £60m, even 70m at end of day (which is fiscal rape IMHO)

:(

Possibly, but I think better deals can often be negotiated in the summer when there is much more time for teams to make moves and Lyon will also be getting injured players back, etc.

I think we could do a lot worse than Dembele to be honest, but I think the summer gives us more time to assess all options and make sure we're bringing in the right players.

We could really do with our scouting department rolling back the years and finding a relative unknown or lesser known talent to come in on a good deal and sort out one of the problem positions we have!

young strikers (many dice rolls)

Victor Osimhen
Donyell Malen
Marcus Thuram
João Pedro
Myron Boadu

Josh Maja (good 3rd striker pick)

and the super young teens (who will have no effect on our 1st teams for at least 2 to 3 years or so, if then)

Sebastiano Esposito (Inter)

Fábio Silva (Porto)

Marcos Paulo (Fluminense)

Eddie Salcedo (on a double loan from Inter)

Pietro Pellegri (Monaco)

and MAYBE MAYBE (PLEASE)

the young 16yo Norwegian/Nigerian striker we just signed

Bryan Fiabema

but I have no clue if he blows up TBH

I think if Jovic is available on loan that should be what we do for this season.

I do think if he came here and was a success, there is a chance of Real selling to us. We seem to have a good relationship with them from the dealings in recent times and I feel that they may have already made their mind up on Jovic. If they were offered something similar to what they originally paid for him I think they would let him go. Reports suggested they were reluctant to sanction Kova on a permanent transfer away and it was always the intention to bring him back but we managed to sort that deal.

I think if it helped go towards them moving for a bigger hitter like Neymar/Mbappe or one of the Liverpool attackers then a deal could be struck.

And if he joined and didn't suit then he's given back to them.

One other I guess that would be a dice roll but I'd be interested to see if they have what it takes to make the next step up is Morelos at Rangers.

He clearly knows where the goal is and his style I think suits Lampard where he is prepared to press and fight for everything.

His disciplinary record is a big red flag but he does seem to have improved compared to last year and you'd hope he's starting to mature.

I'd be surprised if Rangers were able to turn down anything around the £20m mark, so he may be worth a punt?

He would be better than the dregs we have other than Tammy.

I will put him down as a wild card with Mitrovic.

I do admit I like Osimhen, as least his potential. He looks a badass in terms of presentation and attitude.

I agree that Jovic on loan would be worth consideration.

Am I remembering correctly an interview in which Kova explained he had made it clear to Real that he was not interested in going back there? If so, it's probably more true that Kova's stance sorted the move than that we did. Either way, if Madrid recruit one of the big hitters then Jovic probably won't see much future there either so I think you are right about us having a chance.

I know at the time when we got him on loan he pushed for a move away for regular game time. I'm not sure if that developed into wanting to force a permanent move thereafter.

Jovic could well find himself in the same position though if he made a loan move. Changing from a lack of game time and seemingly unfancied by the manager, if he were to find himself playing regularly and enjoying his football then he may too feel that a permanent move is in his best interests even if Real wanted him back.

Real Madrid or whoever, if a player is intent on leaving, it's extremely hard to retain them and keep them happy, especially in the case of players who may not be playing regularly.

I don't see Real Madrid letting him go at this point. The closer we get to Friday, the more likely some shit like Piatek joining permanently will happen. [emoji17]

Lampard clearly doesn't want Piatek for the long run so the board is beyond pathetic if they buy him.
