Pizy 19,377
Unless it comes out that Fermín is like £20m cheaper than Xavi it makes no sense to go for him instead. Xavi has been desperate to join us all summer and we have terms in place. To walk away now when he is in London forcing things would be crazy. Special Juan 28,869
The good thing about all this, there is hardly any time left now so kicking tyres is pointless. The next 24/48 hours is going to go off it

I thought Fermin was like 70 million, Simons was supposed to be 60-65 million. Would hate to see Simons at Spurs, he's waited for our offer for most of the summer. Special Juan 28,869
This statement from the Telegraph is strange Bayern at the front of the line for Jcakson, but Chelsea reluctant to sanction exit until the Isak saga is over

Heard all that before, not going to be soft when selling their prized asset. Tactic to get Newcastle to pay higher, market games
DDA 10,284
Simons or Lopez 🤔 It really is a tricky one. I think i’m leaning more towards Lopez personally but both are good players. I always felt Simons is a little overrated but he could definitely prove me wrong. Edited August 28, 2025 by DDA mkh

OneMoSalah 9,122
I think Simons & Garnacho will be last two signings we make. Not going for a top GK or top CB is difficult to fathom though, we will get found out with Sanchez for sure. I get the lad from Ajax signed but they talk like he is going to be cover at left back more than at CB. Will Simons play as a 10 or wide? How does both Palmer & him slot into the same team with the likes of Joao Pedro, Estevao, Gittens, Garnacho & Neto also to be considered for those 3 positions behind the CF? I’m a bit shocked a player of Xavi Simons calibre is looking at us and thinking of coming here mainly because there is a lot of attacking players here already and he could end up on the bench. Garnacho the same. Given how easily and quickly Maresca discarded several club signings last year, I do wonder if any of the players we have signed will suffer the same fate this season?
