Garnacho is a perfect Maresca player so for squad filler pretty ideal pick tbh

Much happier with him than Gittens tbh, he’s imo a better player, at something more resembling a price for players at that level.

Is he? Maresca seems to like highly technical players and we play against low blocks and buses quite often. Garnacho is not very effective in those matches.

At his best for United he was a solid weapon as a counter attacking threat where he can use his pace and energy to run in behind teams. How often are we going to be pinned back and playing on the counter?

🚨 Exclusive: Understand Chelsea have held further talks today with Barcelona's Fermin Lopez, who has also spoken to Enzo Maresca.

Nothing close or guaranteed yet, but Chelsea continue to seriously explore a move. Barcelona want €60m+.

Initial club-to-club contact has also taken place.

I thought Nkunku leaving meant we have enough for Simons but sounds like Jackson needs to go on permanent as well which I have my doubts is happening.

Unless Villa or some big club completely out of the blue suddenly jump in it looks like Jackson’s options for a permanent move have dried up. We’ve priced him so high that everyone called our bluff.

If it’s true that Jackson needs to go permanently in order for us to make any signing post Garnacho then I don’t see it at the moment. Him going out on loan may not be enough for us.

Promising something to Simons all summer only to switch to Lopez last second is bad behavior. Many complained about our negotiators Benfica, Palace...

But if it's a plan to have 2 players per position we could already do that without new players post Garnacho.

Remember in big games Maresca likes to put Enzo upper.

Lavia Essugo

Caicedo Santos

Palmer Enzo

Neto Estevao

Garnacho Gittens

Pedro Delap

Simons is in London for 48 hours so I guess if we don't bid tonight or early tomorrow he will go to Spurs, can't even blame him for not waiting until last day of the transfer window he risks of remaining stuck at Leipzig otherwise.

Gonna assume we putting all eggs into getting rid of Jackson in the last day and immediately bid on Fermin or Simons if he'd be willing to wait till last day but there is no guarantee we get rid of Jackson and we're gambling on it.
