The teen will play for Chelsea’s U-15 team next season after signing a six-year deal. The Blues think of him as a long-term investment in their already strong academy system. Reports have claimed that McGillvary, the son of former England rugby league player Jermaine McGillvary, is one of the best young midfielders in the UK. His play for England’s U-14 team and his progress at Manchester City caught the eye of top Premier League teams, but Chelsea moved quickly to sign him. A long, grueling campaign with only 2 strikers could be tricky, though we definitely have enough attacking mids to play a strikerless system if necessary. He has massive flop written all over him at that price. Would be pretty funny to watch United flail around and try to scramble for a different striker if Šeško goes to Newcastle, though.
