It feels nonsensical from their POV. They’ve got the world’s best keeper who is only 32, they’ve got a backup who everyone rv]aves about and says is easily a #1 keeper for a top team, and then they go out and buy Mamardasvili who is also a top class keeper. We should be ALL OVER whoever leaves them, right? Alisson would be the perfect age to be the bridge to whenever Penders is ready. Vesper

He gets the praise because he plays for Liverpool whose players are always hyped. I mean just read any article on Liverpool when they're doing well. Always framed as them being the best team ever. mkh

He's publicly said that he will be playing for them, so I feel like that's a non-starter unless we wanna turn him sour about the move before even putting on a shirt. I really don't think we can. I'm sure I read, or heard, that it has been formally, and contractually, agreed that Estavao will join us after the CWC. LAM09

Not to mention, the window opens briefly before the CWC (Soccer-Premier League to open transfer window early due to Club World Cup). Either way, it would be in our best interest to let him stay for the tournament, whether there is an option to recall him or not.

They supposedly don't want him permanently. Another one we'll be making a loss on.

mkh 651
Enzo Maresca on Romeo Lavia: “For Sunday, Romeo is out. If you compare Romeo’s games this season to last season, he has already improved. But the target is just to try to keep him fit as much as we can and play more games next season than this season.” bigbluewillie

mkh 651
Chelsea have stepped up centre back scouting over the last month. Loic Bade has been highlighted as a similar profile to Fofana and one likely to succeed in PL. Scouts watched him a lot. Sevilla also interested in #CFC players. Guehi has plenty of fans internally and could be available for around £50/55m.

This was my dream partnership and I'm happy we got them despite the high cost. I would not be mad if do the same, make him the most expensive CB of all time. Sell a lot of young players to raise that cash. Vesper and bigbluewillie
