In combination with the Nkunku injury it would put such a downer on the new season to miss out on our main target we’ve been chasing all summer. And then imagine if we lose to Liverpool AT HOME in that first match after they’ve taken Caicedo from under our noses. Yikes….

Seems like Brighton tries to drag out this Caicedo story bc they cant get anyone in. We often heard that Caicedo is connected to Kudus.

If Caicedo goes they’ll find some random guy from a tiny club and turn him into the next Caicedo. I don’t think they’re worried about how they could replace him.

The Rice deal is what really fucked us. Us paying big for Enzo could’ve just been a one-off that never happened again. But then when Arse agreed to pay £105m for a player that Brighton could directly compare their player to that was that. They were only going to allow Caicedo to go for a similar amount.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's all over Kudus wanting a release clause, how can Brighton not expect incoming players to look at what they’ve done and think twice? Hardly being shrewd, short sightedness more like.

Ugarte was different. The price was fine and agreed, BUT PSG offered the player twice the salary we did and on better terms.

The reason we do what we do the splurging on fees is because we make it up on the player contracts, plus we have already brought in well over £300m on sales and loans and add-ons, with more to come.

And yes, losing Ugarte gutted me. He was tailor-made for the EPL and our team. Fucking PSG have so many of my targets over the years. It is maddening.

Frustrating that this gets done this way, unveiled at Liverpool, can’t start him with half a training session under his belt, big song and dance about spending xyz if we don’t get a result, huge added pressure unnecessarily.

Now reading this 😂 WH had two 100m players in MF all the time. In reality they are together not worth that money.

How the hell Paqueta is 100 million now 😂 I remember people with FM calling for us to get him that one season when he was good, paired with Piątek (who is also forgotten by now), but he pretty much went downhill from there. He got three assists in West Ham in 28 games of what I see, so what is up here?

Inexcusable if we miss out on him now. He could very well be the difference between us or Liverpool finishing in the top 4.

That Paul Joyce person has not tweeted anything of that sort unless he has a podcast or YouTube show
