Based on the starting line up tonight do not be suprised if we sell Andrey Santos for big money this summer, Maresca had the fucking audacity to play Essugo last game and can't even give Santos a start today, this coach is a fucking joker man

Im fucking fuming.

If we sell Santos…. I dunno what to say.

It may take us getting embarrassed in this competition for these dopes in charge to bring in the necessary quality in super key positions. How many more times do they need to see shit like we saw from Sanchez or Nico Jackson today? Or Malo Gusto transforming from a mega promising and great buy 2 years ago to basically being unplayably poor now?

We desperately need a top keeper, a couple of versatile attackers, and a defender who can ensure we never have to play James or Gusto out of position again. A CB wouldn’t hurt either.

Mate, Maresca is getting patted on the back for nodding his head at spending little

If it takes us to flop on this tournament for these cunts in charge to make the necessary changes then they shouldn’t be in the job in the first place.

Don't worry we can flop all we want nothing is changing, no wonder the owners don't feel the heat one bit from the fans when part of our fanbase still deludes themselves were heading in the right direction.

Chelsea fans want Mike Maignan after Club World Cup defeat to Flamengo

https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/match-coverage/Chelsea-fans-all-want-their-club-to-sign-25m-player-after-watching-the-blues-in-club-world-cup-vs-flamengo/

Distribution has never been the Spaniard’s strong point, and his indifferent campaign between the sticks saw the Blues strongly linked with signing Mike Maignan before the transfer window slammed shut.

The deal did not go through, however this hasn’t stopped Chelsea fans taking to social media to beg for their club to bring the Frenchman in as a result of this game.

One user said: “The fact some of you defended the club not signing Maignan is crazy, JUST LOOK AT SANCHEZ.”

John Obi Mikel makes brutal claim about Nicolas Jackson after Chelsea red card, ‘I don’t care’

https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/news/john-obi-mikel-makes-brutal-claim-about-nicolas-jackson-after-Chelsea-red-card-i-dont-care/

A lot of criticism was being handed to one Chelsea player in particular as a result of their 3-1 loss at the Club World Cup to Flamengo.

Nicolas Jackson had only just entered the field of play when he was sent off for a horrible challenge, seeing Chelsea reduced to 10 men in their fight to come back.

Jackson will be banned for one game as per FIFA’s official rules, which will likely see Enzo Maresca deploy Liam Delap again against ES Tunis.

John Obi Mikel has been critical of Jackson since his move to Stamford Bridge, with his standards remaining high from his days as a Chelsea player.

John Obi Mikel’s brutal reaction to Nicolas Jackson’s red card

The club legend was on punditry duty for the Chelsea game, and he previously criticised Noni Madueke for his performance in the opening group game against LAFC.

Now, he told DAZN that what Jackson did was ‘stupid’, and cost his team in a game where a comeback was still a possibility.

He said: “Unbelievable. Stupid, stupid, stupid mistake. I don’t know what is going through his head. Your team needs you and you do that. He did that at Newcastle. Now he’s done this. I don’t care what his frustration his…”

Jackson is banned for the first Premier League game of the new season against Crystal Palace due to his red card against Newcastle at the end of last season.

Mikel wants a new striker at Chelsea

Mikel has made it no secret who he has wanted Chelsea to sign as a new striker, and it wasn’t Delap.

The Nigerian wanted his countryman, Victor Osimhen, to join the club, after being linked with a switch to West London for a number of years now.

Mikel is disappointed a deal for Osimhen is unlikely now, however the player’s reported wage demands make the signing unrealistic.

With him always critical of the current Chelsea squad, expect to hear more from the former midfielder throughout the rest of the tournament, particularly if Chelsea exit at any stage.

I’m gonna say something that is painful for me to admit, but I’m starting to question whether Enzo Fernandez is viable here long term. I really like him as a personality, his passion on the pitch, and at his best he’s great. But man, he just fails repeatedly in matches against opponents who are very aggressive and intense. On the ball he’s super careless with it and off the ball he’s so painfully slow that it looks like he’s running in cement boots.

When he was at Benfica you saw him playing deeper as sort of that tempo controlling midfielder spraying it around and creating magical chances. We saw that initially when he moved here as well. I remember an early Liverpool game where he completely destroyed them single-handedly and ran the show. These days Maresca deploys him so high up that he is often seen pressing all the way to the keeper.

For me he needs to play in an area where he has space and can see everything in front of him. Having him high up takes away his passing and vision when we’re attacking and it makes us super vulnerable when the ball is turned over defensively.

It’s the exact sort of issue we had with both Fabregas and Jorginho at times. The difference with those guys was Cesc had generational passing skills and creative vision and J5 was immaculate with the ball and impossible to dispossess. Enzo is neither.

For the first time ever I actually find myself wondering if we should listen to an offer if Madrid comes in for him as is rumored.

as I said, he is a good player but if Real offer us a huge bid for him, we need to accept the bid

I think so as well. Sad to say because I really like him and was more excited for him than any recent signing.

We need a technician in there next to Caicedo who is perfect in possession and can keep things simple and ticking over. A new Jorginho. We have our Kante regen with Moi but we need our J5 next to him.

I don't believe he was ever a long term option. He's someone who can turn up one week and be invisible the next. You just can't get away with that in a midfield pairing, especially one in the PL.

Look at the stark contrast between him & Caicedo since joining in terms of overall effort.
