Starting the season with Sanchez as our #1 again just confirms that we have no ambition whatsoever from the top of the club to challenge for a title or the UCL. I know his metrics were good in France but I still find it hard to believe he's done a total 180 from the disaster he was when he was here last time. But I guess his performances have warranted another shot short of the Maignan deal returning to the table (if we had a bit more experienced a defense I'd say fuck it and give Penders a go but alas). They’re actually trying to make the fanbase be,ieve that utter bullshit despite the evidence before our own eyes. It’s exactly like the striker chase last summer where everyone and their mother knew we desperately needed a top #9, we chased Osimhen all the way, and then cheated out and refused to pay what was needed.
