Kudus is unbelievably overrated. He's powerful but virtually no technical skill, no intelligence. His output on paper is just as bad as the eye test suggests. Thought the £38m West Ham spent on him was toppy for what he is tbh.

Made some sense a couple of years ago when we were really shit, but definitely does not make any sense anymore, especially for a big fee. Fuck that.

Only thing I will say is when Bowen joined WHU, he did not look ready. Think he joined in a January window and struggled then had a full season where he improved but was not great and did not cement a regular spot in the team until latter stages of season, but look how good he is now. I feel Kudus has a possibly higher ceiling than Bowen, but just needs to show it. Whether he does is another question but I feel there is a quality player waiting to be unleashed there.

You are more positive about him than I am. The next season is a big one for him in terms of establishing his status in the game but I remain a non believer.

Feel like I’ve watched a different player. Kudus is SUPER skilled technically. He’s a brilliant dribbler.

I do agree with you that we should be in for him now. Not AT ALL the profile of player we need.

Another thing that’s weird about any Kudus link is that he’s the exact sort of player that Maresca has failed to really find a role for like Nkunku & Felix. These guys are not wingers and they’re not classic 10’s. They’re maverick types who kind of float all around.

So Kudus coming in for huge money feels like it would end the same way. With Maresca not trusting him to provide width like Madueke and Nero do and not dropping Palmer for him centrally.

So what’s point?

I have big doubts about him, but Kudus actually looks brilliant here — though it's a compilation from last season (2023/2024), which can be misleading regarding his current form and only shows his good moment.

He seems like the opposite of Sancho — He offers directness, bursts of pace, power, strength, and the ability to shoot.

He's a great ball carrier who wants to beat defenders something that we really need

At the very least, compare him to Madueke — I prefer Kudus. Who knows maybe he still has something to unleash as a player

I'm just bored of watching Madueke, he is the jack of all trades master of none, and if Newcastle want to give us 40M then send him there.

I like Kudus but not for the reported price, absorb that price with a player bringing it way down and I think Maresca can work with him, he's raw but with an edge, I would defo take a gamble.

Think we could get Rogers for money that it would take to get Kudus.maybe we would have to pay more hard cash for Rogers but both deals look like would be a player + cash deal.

I'd be much happier with Rogers. We have a need in our attack but we do have to consider whats coming through before biting on big money deals.

Noni nor Neto may be the longterm answers but for atleast another year till George and Willian can grow into starting roles isnt a bad idea imo either.

It’s honestly sad and depressing what this club has turned into. We’re out here chasing average players like Kudus and random youngsters, instead of going after proven top-level talent. The team desperately needs a proper center back someone like Ilya Zabarnyi would be ideal. For the left wing, Rodrigo makes perfect sense. Up front? Viktor Gyökeres is the obvious choice solid, proven, and without some ridiculous buyout clause.

But no, instead we’re being linked with names like Ekitike overhyped, unproven, and now Frankfurt will probably demand €80–100M for him, just because of recent sales. Look at what Man City paid for that Egyptian forward €75M. PSG spent €95M on Kolo Muani. Clubs see us coming from a mile away.

Worse still, we clearly haven’t learned a thing from past mistakes. We keep shopping in the Bundesliga like it’s some magic fix but most of those signings flop. The style of football there is nothing like the Premier League. How many more times do we need to get burned before we stop?

I really miss the Roman Abramovich era. That was a club with ambition, with a winning mentality. Now? It's a shell of what it used to be. You think Roman’s watching this and laughing? Not a chance this has to hurt him, just like it hurts the real fans.

Half this squad is made up of average players. And any fan who truly understands football knows exactly how many top players we actually have you can count them on one hand. No need to say names. Real fans know.

Where did you copy and paste that from? It would have been easier to read in braille

Did not copied that. Instead of speaking about real problem we have you speaking about copy paste text, did not expected from you Special Juan and also the last person I expected to replay such a nonsense

Men i had more respect to you because you one of active users here for very very long time, but I see you like what clown Clarke is doing with this club. Crazy how fans also so brainwashed about all this. This clowns already destroyed what Roman build for so many years by becoming academy club like Ajax but with money.
