This is a great transfer and he will make an instant impact in midfield.

This is the guy we need - a destroyer.

I do not know anything about these kids but its interesting we're randomly spending a decent chunk of money in March. Maybe the club are trying to get business done much earlier than in prior years?

If I could have one wish it would be to get all business done every year before the main preseason tour starts abroad, so players can get a decent amount of time together learning about each other and learning the manager's system.

That said I assume these kids wont even make a preseason tour until 2026 at the earliest?

I feel like it has more to do with beating United to the punch rather than anything.

We signed Nkunku, Pulisic, and Ziyech, to name three, way before the summer window even opened. In theory it might seem like a wise idea, but I'd always advise on waiting till the season is over before agreeing deals to sign first team players (free transfers aside).

Dário Essugo is 20 years old

IF we actually do the deal he will come to Chels in July 2025 (unless we loan him back)

🚨🔵 Understand Dário Essugo already said yes to Chelsea and BlueCo project with negotiations at advanced stages between clubs.

Chelsea and Sporting are negotiating for fee around €22m for 20 year old midfielder Essugo.

All parties confident to get it done.

🚨🔵Chelsea are looking to add another right-footed wide player to join the squad this summer.

Chelsea want 5 wingers for 2 positions.

(@SJohnsonSport & @TheAthleticFC)

🟢My options would be:

-Leão (Mendes Client)
-Barcola
-Nico Williams
-Semenyo (Rumored)
-Gittens (Rumored)

🟠Kendry Paez is being lined up to be an understudy/support for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, rather than operating on the flanks.

🟣Chelsea deem Geovany Quenda to be among the top three under-23 wingers in the world, alongside Estêvão and Yamal.

On convincing Geovany Quenda to join Chelsea, it was a group effort from Paul Winstanley, Laurence Stewart, and Enzo Maresca.

Other factors were Ruben Amorim previously used him as a wingback at Sporting, but Chelsea wants him only as a winger. London was another factor, while his salary fits within the wage structure.

Don’t get this one at all. We’ll have Andrey Santos and Ugo to return in the summer to add to Lavia in the deep midfield role. Even if we don’t think Ugo is good enough for Chelsea (which I don’t) we’re still well stocked there.

Feels like yet another young talent hoarding signing where he’ll be flipped in a couple of years.

BREAKING: Dario Essugo to Chelsea, here we go! Agreement done with Sporting and medical completed.

€22m transfer fee for 20 year old midfielder to join #CFC THIS summer and be part of the first team.

Essugo will sign a 7 year deal. 🇵🇹🤝🏻

Quenda joins in 2026 for €48m fee.

Only plausible explanation as to why we’ve bought him is that he’s Lavia insurance as a pure DM. And Andrey Santos will hopefully rotate with Caicedo and Enzo.

Because if we’ve bought this kid so that we can cash in on Santos I’m going to be extremely pissed off.

Worth also noting, Andrey Santos will be part of Chelsea's first-team squad next season. Although Santos can also play defensive midfielder, he's been given more of an attacking role at Strasbourg.

Chelsea very impressed by his development. Santos has seven goals and two assists in Ligue 1 this season. No chance Chelsea will listen to offers despite rumours.🇧🇷

Chelsea wants to be active and get business done early ahead of rivals. They are looking to tie up moves now because the summer will be unusual and busy due to the Club World Cup.

🇵🇹🚨 | Again, I repeat the information that I have about Quenda:

€42M fee.

Not €48M. Not €51M.

No Add-ons included.

🔵He was the first to report on the completed transfers of Quenda & Essugo.
